Hi, I have my A1200 for a while now, and what bothers me is that the phone itself always chooses the network, which gives me an extra cost. Is it possible to choose network manualy?

JK: How were you able to access the web from your phone when the phone itself does not have wifi? Bluetooth from your PC?
"I can access the web and thusly my yahoo mail account thanks in large part to the info provided on this post about the Cingular set up."
Rafsan: The phone does not come with a headset. It comes with earplugs.
"Pls anyone tell me does the headset suppl by the phone work well enough to hear music"
2F2E: You can do that through the Worldtime Icon in your system. Just tap and hold the date for 2 seconds.
"can anyone tell me how to set up the date on this phone?"
Qy}t: Most softwares from getjar arent supported. Simply because they are not made by qualified people. If some are, they dont function well with your phone.
".jad file from getjar.com... "couldn't find mathced application file".."
kifB: You cant seriously make your phone a boombox! Use the earplugs! Yes there are speakers. Check out the motorola site.
"Is there any external speaker or audio cables available."
VgK7: I quite agree.
"It's just a nice thing to have, not a replacement for a radio/CD player/iPod."
Uq9B: After missing a "C" there... I doubt it.
"an a blind man use this mobile"
jjBY: I dont think you can.
"How can i save videos directly to my sd card without having to first save it to the phone memory and then transfering to the sd card? Thanks"
PWYw: On the stock software on the phone you cant. You have to download softwares for that.
"can anybody please tell me if u can view--
power point pesentations
word documents
adobe-pdf files on the phone"
Thats all I have for now... My adventure with my Ming is on-going.

Just bought my A1200 2 weeks ago and I love it. Great phone, great features, fast processor speed, everything. I do have one question I need help with: I can access the web and thusly my yahoo mail account thanks in large part to the info provided on this post about the Cingular set up. However, I don't know how to configure the direct 'EMAIL' icon to route to my yahoo email. If someone could help me out with this I would be most thankfull.

SkySkySky, that is about standard. If you look at the specs, you'll see the rated talk time is only 4 hours (decent for a phone but terrible for an mp3 player). That means that you can only talk constantly on a full battery for 4 hours before needing a charge. MP3 play-back takes even more energy. This is the case for most MP3/Phones. Sadly, they're more for fun than as an actual MP3 player. It's just a nice thing to have, not a replacement for a radio/CD player/iPod.

Goto www.getjar.com. There are a lot of free software programs that you can find to work with the A1200, along with other phones.

Re storing video recrded by a1200 directly to your trans flash just go into the set up menu within the select camcord then set video recording to transflash card directly then save setting and you are good to go.

After some research, I found that this phone's Bluetooth does support sterio headphones. Both Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP) and Audio Video Remote Control Profile (AVRCP) are needed and installed.
I hope this answers some questions.
