Just picked up my Ming in Beijing to replace my Sony Ericsson 800 which I had for 3 years+. Ming much smaller and love the business card scanner. What I lack is software to go with this baby, like secured password/credit card/ personal data management software so I can store everything when I travel. Anyone know where I can download them please email me. Thanks

I currently have MPx220 with Cingular. I am concerned about purchasing the A1200 for a few reasons:
1. Will I receive the same quality service with the unlocked A1200 as I do with my MPx220?
2. Are the functions of the A1200 the same (or similar) to the MPx220...meaning, can I have office/home/other addresses and phone numbers, along with birthdates, etc. per contact? I have never used a Linux OS before...
3. Will the phone be made with English language recognition? Everywhere I read, people state something about Chinese language (i.e., instruction manuel, written recognition on the phone, CD-Rom, etc.)?
4. Will the Outlook program on my PC link up with the A1200, in order to sync my contacts, email and calendar items?
Please respond to these 4 questions, as your input is much appreciated!
Thanks

This is to answer Eric question on T-Zones
I am currently using it on Tmobile and works great, I can guide you step by step on getting it configured with your Tzones.
Get into your Menu
Go to Setup
Click on Data Network
Highlight your Internet Profile which you have created for Tmobile
Click on “EDIT”
Profile Name: “T-Mobile”
GPRS setting: wap.voicestream.com
User name: blank
Password: blank
Timeout: Off
Primary Gateway IP: 216.155.165.50
Port: 9201
Secondary IP: 216.155.165.51
Port: 9201
Dns:
216.155.175.40
216.155.175.170
CSD Setting:
Dial in Number: +19132440821
The rest of the setting leave them as is. Click on the “SAVE” and you should be good to go.
Next go to your Browser, select the sub menu, then Profiles, and from the Profiles list select the Name of the Profile which you typed while setting up your data network.
After that you should be good to surf on the network.

Got it yesterday in Shenzhen for rmb3100 and 1GB added for rmb365. Basic memory is my only concern so far but I have not done many tests yet. Worthy purchase I would say.

Got it for 2 weeks. Used it in Hong Kong, China and now US. Everything works great. Especially the chinese recognition is very good. I was able to generate 50+ outbound SMS messsages in China within 1 week (my chinese Pinyin is very poor).
My deal in HK was not bad, $4000 HKD (about $510 USD) includes an extra battery, 512MB Transflash, Car charger, HS820 Bluetooth headset, desktop charger, TransFlash SD adapter.
When transferring files using the USB port directly, it is somewhat slow. However, by using the SD adapter on a USB 2.0 card reader, things are real good. Trying to using the Real Player to play MPG file but no luck. For RMBV files, my sample file (an entire Episode of 24) exceed the limited time duration. Don't know how to trick the phone to play file exceed the time limit.
MP3 is great, it reads my Unicode/Big5/GB text from the file names and mp3 tags properly. Playlist is workingWhen trying to connect to my Bluetooth in my car, only the phone features works. Otherwise, I could have my phone connected to my car stereo via the bluetoioth instead of a hard wire from the headset.
Now working on the Outlook Sync and other features. Will wrtie up another posting later.

Tom,
On the FCC photos that were submitted, the back of the A1200 shows no flash.
