RIP, 21 Apr 2009Yes, I know!! LOL!! But Moto is still far, far, far behind ... moreStrange for the fact Moto developed charging via USB since V3/E680 came out YEARS ago....and in late 2008 early 2009, we only see a micro-USB "plug" by the almighty brand which does NOT support USB charging!

For the I?music brand, have you heard conversation from the owner of such company's bar phone, particularly in noisy environment? How many YEARS has such problem persist? Any solution when Moto already moved on to Crystal Talk II...which makes a phone a PHONE, not a PMP! Not to mention the average screen size for such brand...

Moto does have its own attributes which mostly get unnoticed due to poor marketing team of the company.

I'm talking about the mobile phone division alone!! Which horribly pales in comparison to... well, practically every other well-known brand out there... Take your pick!

But Moto is still far, far, far behind ... morefreescale is motorola's semiconductor division and if you have any idea that nokia is using freescale cpus such as 5800 so you can consider this nokia is working for motorola , and he don't need to release plenty of same phones with various size and colors for making people to buy more and more

At least they are still trying to come up with new devices (N86, Idou). What is moto doing? still using its sad and pathetic Rzor design! Moto should be put to sleep to end its agony and misery!

Anonymous, 20 Apr 2009how is the keyboard is it qwerty landscape? The Motokeyboard can be used in both landscape and portrait orientation.
But since it's rather large, you won't be able to see much of the text that you're typing in landscape mode.

the default winmo keyboard/handwriting options are still in there, so you can switch to them, no problem.

i was hoping for more hardware buttons (or a taller screen), since there's a large amount of unused space between the screen and the call buttons.

Hi Ed, the keyboard is ok. It will need some getting used to but the general experience for this model is quite good as they do integrate a larger "keypress", Motorola "keyboard" style. Thus its easier to key those long messages so no worries & fire away. Regards

Because of the features, I'm torn between buying the Motorola A3100 or the Palm Treo Pro. I like that the A3100 has a better resolution camera and flash(light), and also better talk and stand-by time. The thing is that I've always used a (physical) keyboard. My question is, how would you rate the writing experience in the different applications in the A3100? Thanks.
