Can't recall exactly how I set-up Yahoo while I was using A780, but if I'm not wrong, settngs were similar to A768i (visit link below). You also need to activate some Yahoo functions for it to work (no charge).

As for the supplied original stereo earpieces, they gave pretty good sound quality for MP3 tracks.
A780 is a very decent smart phone, good built quality and basic pda functions. If you don't need wifi, 3G etc, it's really worth getting! The keypad on the flip definitely is a plus feature that can be very handy!

am planning to get this phone next week...the only thing i wanted to know is ..how is the mp3 playback quality through the earphones...and are the earphones provided any good?? Is the quality anywhere near the se k700 or k 750...coz i currently have the k700 and i am satisfied with the mp3 playback quality...please reply anyone,,,

I want to actually use my email feature on the phone. Does anyone use their A780 for the Yahoo, Hotmail, Gmail, or any free public email profile? I'd like to set up an account.
I kno Yahoo is not useable unless you suscribe to their POP3 service.

hey im pissed one day ma a780 is workin then the next day the battery dies so i charge it but it doesnt turn on even if i hook it up to the computer is doesnt read it n e one know what to do to help me cuz i love this phone 2 much to just throw it away

First of all this is a great site for the Motorola A780. I have been able to set up my phone just by reading the information posted. I do have a few questions.
1. Where can I obtain the sound booster software ?
2. How can I delete the games that came with the phone ?
3. There is a sound in the background when I use the phone, it sounds like an application is running and searching for something (people on the other end say it sounds like a vaccum cleaner)I have turned off everything I can think of, TMobile does not know the answer.

Im using Windows on my Pc,since this cell has linux installed in it would i have a problem in transferring data from my pc to A780 and vice versa...also can i use outlook express from my A780.im planning to buy this cell plz give a frank opinion about my queries!

Is there a way to make this phone Wi-Fi enabled? I know there are Mini SD cards that you can plug into a phone to make it WiFi compatible, but is there a Micro SD card? Or maybe is there a Micro SD to Mini SD Adapter? Does anyone know a way of doing it? If it was possible to make this wifi, then this would be an excellent phone, however, without it, its not worth it...

Hey Herm,
I need your help please. I really like this phone but I can't get the voice to work. I have it were it talks to me and will say the persons name but it wont recognize my voice. It has a mans voice. How do I get it to record and recognize my voice? Oh, I also wanted to say, this is a pretty sturdy phone. I was going around the corner in my car and the phone went flying off my dash and out the window. It got a few scrapes but still works great. Thank for your time Herm,

Sorry to bother everyone with a data connect question but I am having trouble and even after searching I can't seem to solve it. I am trying to input the settings into a cingular profile but the given DNS numbers (66.209.xx.xx) won't fit into the available place. Basically that second numer, 3 digits long, wont fit into the two digits the phone gives. Any help would be greatly appreciated

This mobile is launched in India recently.I have a few doubts,it wud b very kind of u if u cud clear them at the earliest as i plan 2 buy it.
My doubts r:
How user friendly is the A780?
Display is gud or not..especially the picture clarity?
wat bout speaker ..do they play gud mp3 music?
can i store mp3 songs and also videos from my pc?
can i download and shoot videos in it?
how far have u tried to use the document viewer nd stuff tat r in the mobile?
the last doubt..Battery how gud is it??does it hav problems..!
Plz clarify my doubts nd feel free to gv ur constructive/ destructive suggestions...!It wud b very gud 4 me as i have 2 spend money right!

where can I find information on setting up my cingular email? do I need specific data network IPs? I am also trying to work it with gmail and I still am unable to get it workin...please advise
