the click the settings icon (first icon)
go all the way down
you'll find the shutter sound ,ticked
untick it and there won't be any shutter sound :)

My a2 doesnt last more than 10 hours wi... morechange your screen brightness to lowest (first time when you change it you'll feellike it's too dark but after about 15 mins you'll get used to it and it saves alot of battery , and change the screen timeout to 30 secs ) and kill the running apps manually , task managers are just fake and they don't do shit , so if yu have a task manager just remove it , there's an app called "system info widget" in the market , download it and place it in your homescreen , tere's you'll see the ram you have free , just click it and it'll take you to running apps directly , kill all the apps you don't use and after that look at the right top of the screen under the notification bar , you'll see "cached process or something like that , click it ,you'll see apps there , do what you did to the running apps (the apps /widgets which you don't use , sometimes you just have to stop then 2 or 3 times (eg play store/maps) , do this and you'll have more free ram and more free ram means more battery as the way i see it :) hope i helped
and if you're trying to do mre with the atrix , just root it and install "rom toolbox pro" then freeze all the system apps you don't use , MAKE SURE YOU DON'T UNINSTAL ANY SYSTEM APP , IT'S VERY IMPORTANT , just freeze them , when you freeze they won't use your ram or anything . that's about it . goodluck :)
and FYI my atrix can last about a day under normal use
can play games for about 5 hours continuasly ( real racing 2 which has awesome graphics ) / 4hours if i play mass effect or most wanted
and if you use wifi to download large files the phone won't drain the battery , can download about 550MB with just 50% of the battery
the battery is really good / you just have to use it properly :)

Just bought the a2. My a2 doesnt last more than 10 hours with minimum use.... when i check the battery widget it shows screen consumes more than 65% of battery... anyone else facing the same problem?... just wanna know if it is normal or is there somthing wrong with my handset

If u need better efficiency after pics update plz reset the system... u will get more fine and smoother...I realize it....

Every since the up date ics, I've had nothing but trouble may times can't get to my pixs neither my music this has been an issue since the update att seny me a new phone nothing changed i have formatted my sd card taken more pix last night tried to look at them this morning wouldn't let me get them. I removed the battery sd card and sims card replaced hem all then i was able to get to my pix if anyone has answers please respond

guys after updating to ics the Motorola announced no jb for ATRIX 2 and that time onwards the software update option was disabled but yesterday when i checked it was enabled so we can expect an update can't say jb but might be some other updates

ssgdoc, 27 Oct 2012Yes i hv the same problem sometimes..quite annoying..This h... moreHere's a temporary fix: install a custom dialer app (I used Rocket Dial trial) so you get a different lock screen showing up when receiving a call.
I don't bother upgrading to the paid version because I only needed to bypass the stock ICS lockscreen. After trial period expires, you still get the custom screen. If you like the extra features, go ahead and buy the full version.
But again, it would be nice if an update addressed this issue.

1sickbastard, 25 Oct 2012Anyone having trouble answering calls after the 4.0.4 offic... moreHappens sometimes to me, especially when I take the phone out of my pocket. The way around this is to put off the screen with the power button, switch it on again and now you can answer the call.

Hi, I am due to get this from work.. But the model on the one i am getting is - HDMOTMB865BK, is this the good model or the bad one? As I heard some people complaining that their one is different? Any advise will be much appreciated. I am in NZ btw.

arix 2 at&t version (american version)is great .its mb865 not a me series.u can feel the difference between both phones.also at&t version has gsm
