Does anyone know if the Atrix 2 can play mkv files with 720p or 1080p resolutions.

hi friends...this is ubaid....m using atrix 2 since last month....its AT&T model but unlocked... though m using android since its birth.....i will have to admit this phone is just incredible according to its hardware configuration and its price....its excellent phone is damn fast...build quality is nice i will give it 6/10...
its very handy...even you can operate the phone with single hand and ur thump can achieve any place on the screen...easy to carry...camera is good...acually videos captured with its 8MP camera are very nice...though images are little foggy...battery life is decent ...if you are using GPRS or 3G ....necessary to keep your charger with you....otherwise its going to last one and a half day on normal indian usage....little bit of heating problem ...might be m facing this because i have 135 apps installed...memory management is very nice though m having 135 apps installed 400 mb of ram is free....built in 8GB memory is not of use its just for apps beacause u cant access it via mass storage.....i will definitely recommend this phone....hope u will get little help by my comment....thanks

Guys please dont get panic about the dust problem....jus go to da service center they will clean it....moto service center in pune is really helpful...i never faced any trouble frm the service center guys at all...i dnt understand why people get prbs while service time....people dnt get panic service center will solve ur all prbs.....be good with the service center people

I was just about to go to Croma for my problem since they said they’ll take care of warranty issues and I can submit my phone to them. My phone is collecting dust under the screen and its only been 11 days of use. If they refuse to take it, I’ll take them for a ride! I’d suggest you to go to a Moto service center and ask for a replacement. It’s a stuck pixel that you have on the screen. Ask them to issue a DOA (Dead on Arrival) and you can get a replacement from Croma by submitting that form. I am starting to wonder, did I make a mistake buying/trusting Motorola?

Be very careful when flashing mods. If you flash an incorrect file, your phone would go into a boot loop. You would find it difficult to do a recovery, since the Atrix 2 has a Locked Bootloader.

But flashing a Mod in the stock recovery mode would not be possible. Download the boostrap recovery for Atrix 2. Install the apk file and restart the Phone through the app. Please Note - you need to be rooted.

Build quality IS an improvement over 1st Atrix which was already good. My brother in law has the HTC Sensation and we found both to be at the same quality level... I'm very pleased with the phone.

I'm not expecting HTC level, but I hope it's better than Samsung.
Seriously thinking of getting the Atrix 2. Seems like a well rounded phone for a reasonable price.

Very good smartphone. Lots of pre-installed software. Smooth screen. Vivid colors. Highly recommended. Bought it for $29.99 at Target for a 2-yr AT&T contract upgrade. To save battery life, you can disable 4G or wifi.

2 days of heavy use ... and i must say, Camera is out of the world ... the best camera i have ever used in cell phone... Video recording on 1080 gives you all!
Battery life is good too ... Sound quality improves after flashing xLoud and Beats audio mod from XDA!
loving this now!

HDMI output lets u to conect atrix2 to tv. Givin gaming experience on tv screen hmm.. I better not buy playstation nw.

Is the phone is capable of doing a 3G video call using the secondary camera?
