Atrix2 is more of a smartphone. Atrix 4G is more of a gaming mobile phone.
The display is bigger in the A2 than the A4G.
A-4G have more pixels on a smaller display which makes the icons and text seem smaller and often annoying.
Both battery performance are similar. A-4G has a bigger battery to power its finger print reader. This is exceptional.
Over all, both are same in specs. The GPU in A2 is for performance and GPU of A-4G is for gaming. Other than that A2's screen is larger.
If you want to tip in extra bucks for these two positive differences you may very well buy an Atrix 2.
I personally find A-4G better because of its finger print sensor.
So, the decision depends on your utility. I'm in a hostel and I prefer security.

Moreover Atrix2 doesnt do exceptionally good in low light conditions. I have never seen a mobile camera doing better in the video part. Atrix 2 video clarity is exceptional.
though you have not asked about the audio performance, I could not resist from posting. It is awesome dude.. the s2 sucks wen compared with Atrix2 in audio performance.

It's not laggy, this is how it is for motorola phones...U'll find the same sort of pinch to zoom functionally in Moto Razr...

Need opinions. Can get Atrix 2 or Atrix 4G on Ebay. My question is this. Is it worth spending an extra 80 to 100 US Dollars for the Atrix 2 over the Atrix 4G? Is the Atrix 2 that much better to justify the extra money? Could really use help deciding. Thanks in advance.

i used it at ezone and found out that the transition of the camera images when pinched zoomed in and out are a bit laggy..its not that smooth why is that?

I am facing problem with ... moreHi,could u please explain further?What I dont understand is wat do you mean wen u say wireless channel in the phone?You can try a few simple steps.Make sure your router is not close to a window or a wall.Also make sure that there are no EMI devices like LED TV,microwave or even LED lights.The wireless channel selection must b in sequence meaning try channel 1 then channel 6,then 11 and then 9.That is the sequence we follow in Networking and try to avoid channel 7 as it results in lot of Wi-fi dropping issues.Dont connect more than 3 Wi-fi devices simultaneously to the router and check whether the router has interface as b/g or b/g/n....if its just g then change it to n.Hope these steps help you.All the best!!! :-)

I bought this phone yesterday.... I am facing problem with WIFI connection.
It is very bad. At times i cant even download a single app from Market.
I have kept mobile & router both on same channel......still problem.....

Bought it today from tata croma for Rs 21600 .Phone is fantastic for this price no company offering a dual core phone. Earlier i used defy plus that was also a rock solid phone. I am posting my pros and cons for this
Advantage
1.solid built quality
2.large crisp display very good sunlight visibility
3.Dual core plus powerful GPU
4.Fast bootup no lags
5.Good battery life
6.Official icecream update
7.Ultra fast GPS very very impressed sometimes locked in 5 sec
Disadvantage
1.Bit bulky and heavy
2.poor loudspeaker
3.poor aftersale service

jerard, 27 Mar 2012r u using atrix 2 ???? how abt the phone ??? my major conce... moreYa...got my ATRIX 2 from Letsbuy. The box had the phone,battery cover,battery,data cable,2 pin charger,headset,a clip for the headset,two pairs of foam covers for the headset and a few manuals.
Regarding Service Center in Bangalore,there are 2 with a few more to come if the rumour mills are to be believed.The phone is definitely a value for money phone.
