Is the atrix 2 getting ICS? I really like this phone because of its dual core processor and the 1gb of ram, but i wanna make sure if it is getting ice cream sandwich. I'm a little doubtful of getting this device, lg optimus 2x or nexus s. I just want to switch from my blackberry.

My Atrix 4g would be a few hours short of a day with the same use.

The others are just coming to negate the statement. However, you can always try using the phone at the store first before buying

The phone MAY be great, it may have lots of stuff it can do, but what good is a phone if you have to have a spare battery or be next to a wallplug the entire time? My brother has the ATRIX ORIGINAL, he loves it, the battery life is great. I had the LG QUANTUM (WINDOWS 7 PHONE) and I LOVED it!!! Hands down, would rate that phone a 12 on a scale of 1-10. BEST PHONE IN THE WORLD (and I have had a LOT of phones) however, some PICK POCKET SOB obviously thought it was a nice phone too, bc they STOLE IT OUT OF MY PURSE on New Year's Eve! Leaving me no option but to purchase a new phone. Because my phone (the Quantum) was over a year old, the stores no longer carry it, neither does the AT&T online store. I could have bought it off of ebay or Amazon, but that was going to cost me upwards of $400. So I let the sales guy at AT&T talk me into the "NEW UPGRADED VERSION of the ATRIX" I had read the reviews on the ORIGINAL ATRIX and my Brother gave me the thumbs up so I was prepared to purchase that, I had no idea how bad the ATRIX 2 would SUCK! Like I said, the phone may have wonderful things it CAN DO, what how can it do it if it CAN'T STAY CHARGED LONG ENOUGH TO DO ANYTHING?? A single charge, if you just UNPLUG IT AND LEAVE IT LAY THERE (nothing else, don't touch it!!!!) will last EXACTLY 5 hrs and 11 minutes!!!! And that is with the WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth, and EVERYTHING TURNED OFF! NOTHING RUNNING IN THE BACKGROUND AT ALL!!!!!!
So if you go the MOTOROLA ATRIX 2 route my friend, BEWARE,and GOOD LUCK!!!!

I think the ATRIX 2 is by far the best phone I have ever owned. In fact, I am writing this review with my ATRIX 2. I've had the chance to compare it to the Sony Ericsson Special Play and while the Play is a decent phone, it can't compare with the ATRIX 2.

I have the atrix 1, and eventually I got a notice saying that I have a new update, and the update made my atrix 1 the EXACT same as atrix 2. Atrix 1 very good phone.
