            Not that many people know how to appreciate a good phone anmore nowadays...like good & clear sound quality. All that they want are phones with a lot of gadgets/functions for what they paid for! In most circumstances, these gadget phones have a lot of problems...namely, they hang very often!

                ==========================================================
                @ sydney kangaroo

                "Motorola's handset division recorded a loss of $1.2 billion in the fourth quarter of 2007, while the company as a whole earned $100 million during that quarter. It lost several key executives to rivals and the web site TrustedReviews has called the company's products REPETITIVE and UNINNOVATIVE. Motorola laid off 3,500 workers in January 2008, followed by a further 4,000 job cuts in June and another 20% cut of its research division a few days later. In July 2008, a large number of executives left Motorola to work on Apple Inc.'s iPhone. Facing bankruptcy, the company has been put on offer for sale to several other major rivals such as Samsung Electronics, LG Electronics and Sony Ericsson, yet all have rejected the offer. In July 2008, analyst Mark McKechnie from American Technology Research said that Motorola "would be lucky to fetch $500 million" for selling its handset business and analyst Richard Windsor said that Motorola might have to pay someone to take the division off the company and that the company may even exit the handset market altogether. Its global market share has been on the decline; from 18.4% of the market in 2007, it had a share of just 9.7% by 2008"

                  Yet again, why would you buy a second mobile from the Nokia Arte series if you have major problems with the first one? U never owned a Arte phone, that's why.

                          My motorola V70 stopped workin after 1 week.. and my Motorola ZN200 even stopped receiving calls.. does sound silly doesn't it.. so stop talking nonsense.. everyone knows u r a motorola fan..

                          why would you even buy a second model of the Arte series if u have problems with your first one.. i have had the Arte Sapphire for awhile now.. the call quality i amazing.. crystal clear.. no heating issues at all.. one time it fell from the third floor and still just a minor scratch on the backside..

                          Nobody said Motorola make bad phones.. i use to have a Razr V3.. and it was quite good.. don't mask ypurself trashing other phones jusy for the sake of it..

                          cause nobody is ever gonna believe that u bought a second phone from the Arte family if u had issues with the first one.. it's like getting another huyndai after the first one malfunctioned on the freeway.. just grow up will you.. all phones are good.. it's just a matter of choice and class..

                            The look of any phone is the first thing that attract a buyer. After buying the phone, you have to use it, and after a period of time; no one will care much about the look of their phones anymore, but only how well the phone perform in daily conversations & or typing messages (these fashion phones are not meant for serving the web, music etc.).
                            I bet this phone will perform a lot better than either my Sapphire Arte or my Carbon Arte cos both of them have overheating issue. By the way, the low quality & slow acting camera of any 8800 Arte is almost useless!

                              sydney kangaroo, 19 Nov 2008@richard totally agree wid u mate.. class is how u see i... moreSo no single European bought the original V3 or V70 simply for their LOOKS?

                              Everybody has his or her own preferences...some people like phones with tiny keypads, some people like large keypads (as do most Americans, or even myself, not being an American, or like my parents)...so one wouldn't need to "look" for certain key.

                                totally agree wid u mate.. class is how u see it.. for instance.. for americans.. everthing european is class.. cars.. furniture.. name brand clothes and so on.. but europeans thinks almost everything americans make is trashy in taste.. so i doubt the aura will make it to the european retail stores.. its aimply not what europeans concider class.. but i bet the carbon arte will make it to the states for obious reasons..

                                  Just visited Moto's website in mainland China, and the online store has the Aura available....for US$2200.

                                  That's right! US$2200, and I absolutely agree with this strategy, as for those who can SPARE US$2000 for a phone, that US$200 is like US$0.20 for most of us!

                                  So why not grab these people's $...who are least impacted by the economic crisis. (after those oil producing countries like UAE, of course!)

                                    I would probably still get the Nokia Carbon Arte from our nordic competition, it's a much classier looking phone. A phone isn't classy just because it's shiny and semi bling bling looking. I was at a mobile convention recently and saw a beta version of this one in the Motorola stall. Honestly, if i didn't know that the Aura was meant to be a high end luxury phone before i saw it, then i would easily think it's a midrange handset while holding it in my hand. There are very little things that are exclusive about it's exterior, except the little bit trashy futuristic silver, or the way it felt in my hand and so on. The Carbon Arte on the other hand looks, feels and gives vibrations of class, it's not shiny, it's just classy and subtile at the same time, and feels like a million bucks in my hands, the weight distribution is excellent, kinda hard to explain. But obviously it's up to each individual on how they see phones and rate class, for some the Aura is probably a classy high end device, but for me presonally, it feels an looks like one of them wannabe midrange chinese handsets that u can find online.
                                    Those were my personal opinions, nobody has to share them, just accept them.

                                        Want to sell my Vertu cause the fonts are way too small for comfortable use.
