Can someone please tell me if a data cable and software exists for this phone in order to download pix directly to a computer. And if so, where I can purchase it.
The problem is that there's only a 2.5mm input. Not a mini USB.
Currently the only way to get the pix is to e-mail them to a computer, and TracPhone charges 1 unit per pic plus the download time.
Anyones input would be greately appreciated.

about the question on phonebook capacity ... the phone's own internal memory holds 100 numbers (Aunt Mary's home, cell, and work numbers = 3 numbers, etc.). The SIM card holds and additional 250 numbers .... so there are 350 total number slots available. The numbers stored on the phone's internal memory can be used for picture caller ID and some other identification features (but the SIM cannot). Of course the numbers stored on the SIM card have the advantage of being transportable to a new phone, etc. since you can just remove and insert the card.

TracFone charges 0.3 units per text message. I have no idea about fido.

Battery life- on any cell phone is partly dependent on signal strength- a weaker signal(fewer bars) will reduce battery life for talk or standby time. Signal at my house is weak, 1 or 2 bars, sometimes fades out completely. For standby only, phone left on wiith no talking, game playing, etc, I get 2 1/2 to 3 full days. Your time may vary. ;)

My old Nokia from Alltel would last about 3 1/2 to 5 days under these same conditions.

does it really cost money to get taxt messages with fido or it that just for other cell phone companies? and is the battery crapy or is that just some poeple not knowing how to charge it?

I am looking at buying this phone, and I am a tracfone customer. So if it's true it actually costs to receive texts, is it still only 0.3 units? or is it a full unit? Just wondering. Thanks!

I bought this just a month ago. There are few good features like the phonebook features where you can categorize the entries. I'm from the philippines, but sad to say this model has too little support from my network. Can anyone tell email me if this unit can view operator's logo?

I bought this phone yesterday from Carphone Warehouse as my previous phone was dying. Really an excellent basic phone, just what I wanted to get me operational quickly. Good build quality and you have a 640x480 pixel camera + a few other goodies.

                                        MULTIPLE SIMS?
Just a note that if you have multiple SIM cards, it takes a little getting used to removing the Li-Ion battery as the engineering is quite tight. Additionally, the SIM card goes in at a slight downward angle. But once you've removed the battery/SIM a few times you'll get the hang of it.
