i've been using this phone for three months. unfortunately, during calls or sending group SMS messages, sometimes, it turns off then turns on automatically, somewhat like it's restarting. this problem started 3 days ago. i'm very disappointed. although the phone has a nice body and display, the battery life and absence of bluetooth and lack of USB support from motorola really sucks. please be noted that the USB drivers from the internet are not authorized by motorola so it may bring problems to your C261. just a reminder.

Bluetooth is actually present in this phone in hardware but has been disabled in software to prevent unwanted competition with the more expensive phones. There is probably a hack somewhere on the internet to enable the bluetooth.

I just have bought a new Motorola C261 but I have found that the only way to get connectivity from and to the phone is through out GPRS that in the general cases is provided by cell operators as a paid service.

In my personal opinion I don't recommend this phone, please try with other ones that provide direct connectivity and connection to your PC as an OEM feature.

                      Regards,

                      Jorge

It is really a good phone.
its gprs is faster than the nokia phones and its camera is really nice ,this is true the screen is bit bright but the picture taken by the camera are very very good on pc,and u can print the photos for sure of better quality.
                            This is my personal experience.
It has polyphonic tones. But not good at ring tone volume, its lesser.I did not tryied it for internet connection but i will do it in two days.If any one want to buy this phone ask for the data cable to connect to pc and the cd .the file transfer is also fast .Its battery back up is very poor.not true as mentioned in the specification page.

Unfortunately, it has no USB, infrared, or bluetooth function. So if you want to transfer data (e.g. photo) in your phone out to another device, you would have to send it via MMS. Motorola could at least offer infrared which is a cheap technology to manufacture.
