I already bought my C380 2 months ago... does any1 here got the driver modem for windows98?? I cant get my ringtone,wallpaper download into my phone??

This is just a affordable phone with a great features I've ever had. Althought it doesn't have infra-red (for easy data transfer ) and bluetooth (nowadays features needed) but it still good enough if you just like to enjoy screen color,faboulous ringtone (MP3,MIDI,polyphonic),JAVA games,good quality speaker sound,good external design,GPRS etc. This phone full of basic needed only. The price quite cheap and of course everybody can buy it. If you are hardcore gamers dont buy this phone.You can buy N-Gage or N-Gage QD out there.If you want to put all your big stuff like full MP3 songs,video clips,a lot of 128x128 picture or gif dont buy this phone also.You can buy a phone with MMC slot out there.Because this phone had a limited internal memory. For those who want to put a MP3 song larger then 1MB i think please stop doing that (althought the MP3 files sometimes reach 5 MB)because you can't!
And for those that want to flash your seem using p2kman or p2ktools i strongly advise DONT DO that unless you know what you are doing and have an expertise in doing that.Why you want to damage your own phone by your own mistake ( lack of knowledge and expertise using motorola tools).Please learn first,study the concept and study your system.The connection such as mini USB cable i know everybody out there (that dont have knowledge and expertise) frust and had a headache to configure the driver.If you dont know how to do it just stop doing it or stop trying doing it.If you smart enough then proceed.The warranty will over once you damage the phone by your own self.
Remember this phone is not like type Symbian OS because it is NOT! If you like to put something to your phone and configure for what ever you like buy a Symbian OS platform phone (nowadays lots of company develope software for Symbian OS) like Nokia 6600,7610,6670,3650,7650 etc..there you can put everything software by your own choice and your taste.
Futhermore the Motorola C380 is great phone compare to the phone with same features and same platform.Motorola C380 still be the winner by its own class...

hi guys! i just bought a moto c380, could anybody tell me waz the use themess in mms, how can i add/configure it? lastly how can i view the manufacturing date of this fone? i mean is there any code i need to press to view manufacturing date or there is a directory specifically for that! thenx guys!

May I know how to enable or add TAP extended feature to my c80 phone bcause in the user manual it says that this phone has tap extended but in my phone only has TAP, iTAP, Pinyin and stroke Sequence
Is there any new flex or flash file for this phone that works and anyone has tried it?

the sms problem is not from tho phone ...in romania connex and orange has limited a sms at 160 characters ...there is nothing you can do ..
my problem is worse!... i can not delete files phrom my phone and i can't upload files in it .....can someone tell how i can get a seem reset..or do somthing to fix it..pls

Motorola c380- the most perfect or near perfect entry level handphone in the world
The year 2004, Motorola as a former No.1 and pioneer in cellular phone bussiness make the most drastic changes and attitude that positively will attract back a loyal user with introducing entry level phone like c380, c650 and v660. The most out-standing criterias are html compatible with complete gprs, multi-task alarm clock and audio voice record can turn to ring-tones.
Html compatible mean the access into website and downloading files via internet made very easy but the user must have the phone line provider that operate with complete gprs system. The file format that recognise by phone are photo-gif-jpg-JPG ( near screen sizes only ) and sound-mp3-wav-WAV-midi-AMR. For example, the user can access by browsing website ( download via link in web ) or write the direct URL address where the files are located in internet [ e.g. url address..... www.geocities.com/zamiecarlisle/live_your_life_befree_belinda.mp3 ]. For example, the moslem can use multi-task alarm to remind the 5 prayer times throught out the day with azan calling sound.
The voice recording can turn to be ringtones was the most friendly criteria that made c380 a big winner, that mean user can custome-made ringtone only by using voice record function. The user simply can record any sound in multimedia message by insert voice sound recording fuction ( if song, try to use high pitching speaker output ). Then made false MMS sending by friend phone that not have MMS function or the phone prepaid with no credit. The MMS message that kept in outbox then being accessed and automaticaly played the sound. Simply by using menu button, the user can have store function. The sound are recognised as ringtone sound in AMR format with 12kps quality.
The bad side of Motorola c380 are un-clear-screen-picture-display or too bright display althought the original pictures in PC are acceptable light level. USB connection are almost unnecessary fuction because of motorola provide CD driver with extra-cost for user and because also connection throught aou gprs are more easier way of downloading. The c380 size are look so bulky althought very comfortable to held.
Motorola c380 are perfect as the non-camera entry level motorola phone for the masses if the people aware of it great functions. The motorola company should enhancing the c380 by introduce new siries of c380, next are several enhancement that great to include;
i- Better memory megabytes, at least 5mB for basics functioning and file saving.
ii- Sound file should divide into 2 separate file, first-basics ringtone file and second-downloading ringtones files.
iii-The sound file should have at least capability to continous play sound or randomed play the sound ( good as midi/mp3 player)
iv-USB port are so un-necessery should being displaced by headphone jack and SD card reader slot for extra memory.
v- The size should look slimmer.
vi-The keypad and housing should made in many variety designs and option without changing the basic c380 chassis.
vii-Screen colour should improve with more pixel and colours.
viii-Internal housing design should being improve for avoided or at least lowered the dust entry.
ix- The voice recorder function without time limitation as available free space.
x- Have diary book function and long writing word ( Window compatible ) capability.
xi- The screen- saver mode should also displayed digital clock.
Motorola Best Function;
i-Web and file friendly accessed and donwloading.
ii-Multi-task alarm.
iii-Voice recorder can turn be as ringtones.
Motorola c380 other good functions;
i- Icon design.
ii- Game
iii-Easier writing message.
iv- Clear and high volume loudspeaker.

Hello,
I have a few questions to ask.
1. May I knw how to disable battery meter while playing java games?
2.How to make the rythm light blink according to the mp3? Is it possible?
3. Is there anyway i can make the contrast to be more darker, i mean more than 6 because it is to shine even though i set the contrast to 6.
4. To Malaysian people, may i know where to buy Motorola Fm Stereo Headset and how much does it costs?

motorola c380 nightmare ...continues.........after some weeks of good functioning....it doesn't ring any more...and the sound detail is off ....and i did nothing to it ....i think i have a virus....pls help me to restore my phone. :((
