I'm also a moto freak and have used multiple devices from Nokia & Samsung as well but trust me, no other device can compare with the technology that moto have. Build quality is awesome & the genius of all, messaging technology. Moto rules.

Dear all, before posting cons of this device, just make an in-depth analysis of it. Qwerty keyboard along with the Touch screen, roller at the back, nicely spaced keyboard, social networking with a touch of button, and all other specs that one can think in a phone. And the greatest of all, the messaging technology of Motorola, the genius of all. Consider this masterpiece from Motorola & compare with what competitors are offering in this price, specially Nokia which is infact a device having major technical flaws. Moto still the best device in the tele world.

Someone with the phone. Can I change the song with the arrow keys? Can I delete the current song with the delete key? I have a BB 8520 that it does. The thing is I drive all day and it is difficult using the touch screen while driving. Thanks!

In my country is only selling for US$210 without contract. i have try the phone myself
i think they doesnt have a bigger power battery what they available in the US.
i have hold the phone myself, is very light in weight but i dont like the plastic feel,i think that wat made the phone light.
the phone resolution is poor. Not sharp, color not "colorful" enough. But i guess it wont be power consuming
Srolling of pages is jerky, jus dont expect the scrolling jus like a 1 gig ram phone but i play "fruit ninja" a iphone and android game on the charm is responsive
typin msg is a breeze wit the deep in button.
Backtrack is responsive
the phone is easy slot-in ur jeans and without the feel of a bulky phone when sitting down
overall, the motorola Charm is goin to be my sub-phone beside my iphone4.

Although most reviews of the charm are not so encouraging, i would still like to consider this one. Mainly due to its great form factor. i personally like small gadgets and really not a fan of the big screen smart fones. they are never handy for a fast use.i currently use a motorola L9 slvr and love the speaker on the handset. its the best quality speaker on any handset so far.music sounds great though its not too loud. its crisp and clear. i expect the same great hardware on any android device and motorola has just given that in the charm. small form factor, great handset speaker with wifi and 3g and android to top it all. just what i was looking for. however if motorola wants to impress the screen quality obsessed folks, they can come up with the same form factor with 1Ghz processor,512MB RAM, a HIGH RESOLUTION screen,trackball and a front VGA cam for video calling. Motorola has opened up a new segment and the people are waiting for superior handsets. Thats what i call a powerpacked gadget. small yet powerful

Thanks guys for your help and comments. Yes I did ask them for a motorola charm with no contract and did not care if it was locked can have it unlocked in Dubai in a few minutes and am not bothered with motoblur. Still no luck and i feel that if it has taken so long to get the motorola charm might as well wait for the motorola pro. Just in shock how motorola is managing it's international market.

Don't fool by the slow processor. Granted, it won't run your 3D games very well (if it runs at all) but for an Android phone, the RAM is what it counts and this one packs 512MB, which is twice the amount of all other low-end phones.
This phone could have been a hit if not for its screen resolution, which I've found underwhelming and you'll too, if you've handled any phone released in the last 2-year.
The fixed-focus camera is another turnaway.

I have tried through two friends and a cou... moreI understand the main reason for its lack of worldwide availability is due to Motoblur service which is only available in the U.S n few select countries. But still you can use the phone without registering for Motoblur. Thats unfortunate, did you request them for the one with no-contract? BB has it for $250.

Thanks for that. I have tried through two friends and a cousin for the last few weeks and still nothing. Hate chasing anyone or inconveniencing them. I am just shocked that the phone is gsm and it is not sold outside the US. Tried all the people on eBay and they also will not ship abroad which confuses me as I am paying for the phone and the Dhl beforehand.

im loving this ohone so far. i did only just get it today but i am in love so far. its git fast reaction time and the android feature is great. i am having trouble assigning my own ringtones to it however. n e ideas?
