...and yet even with the latest update, Motorola STILL have not sorted out the issue with the handset not keeping the flashplayer update and will always revert back to the original 10.2 version after a reboot.

hi everyone...
i want to buy this phone but problems like rebooting... are getting me into confusion....
are there any updates that are available for the phone that will solve the problem of "rebooting".
i simply like the looks of phone and compact size for a 3.7 inch screen.
and if i will get problems in future then...i wanna know that, whether motorola service centre are good with customers or not...???
plz recommend answer in yes or no...or %age to buy the phone.
i have no problem that it will not get an ICS update cauz 1ghz processor is not good enough for it, but performance should be good.
Thanx...

AnonD-2526, 18 Apr 2012guyzz i need little help....im soon gonna buy new phone....... moreDefy+ is a more compact version of the same spec except the Dell may have a better camera. Dell was released with only Froyo and not sure if there is an update.
Defy+ would be the better of the two as pretty much the same features but on a smaller phone.

FF, 16 Apr 2012A few questions for those who have had hands on experience ... more1. Updates are OTA. Last week an update was released & I installed it through the phone. Btw. I'm in Kerala.
You can also do the updates by connecting to a PC.
2. AFAIK In India Moto doesn't do the service directly, they've given it to many Service Cos. I had taken my friend's phone last year & they were 100 times better than Nokia Service. Don't know the situation in Mumbai.

Unfortunately, my Defy+ has a defect with Home button light. It doesn't lght anymore. Need to sent it to service.
Until now I was satisfied with it. It is not the fastest and not even the best good looking. But is compact and „confidential”. The battery is quite OK.
My only complain is about the TFT display. In the direct sunlight is imposible to distinguish the display.

A few questions for those who have had hands on experience with Moto India-
1. Does Moto India provide OTA updates in Mumbai or does one need to visit the Service Center for the update
2. Experience dealing with Moto Service Center in Mumbai-Are they more customer centric compared to others? How has your personal experience with Moto India been till date?
I ask this because I'm considering buying the Defy plus-my first moto handset.. My experience with HTC(S & Desire) & its Customer dis-service has forced me to look else where...
Thanks, in anticipation!

I think motorola changed the lockscreen to avoid the slide to unlock from side to side patent of apple.

So there is no way of going to 2.3.6 without a Motoblur Account.
To have a Motoblur Account you have to give Motorola access to all sorts of personal information.
I like this phone but the attitude of the manufacturer is appalling. My last Motorola device.

AnonD-7677, 12 Apr 2012To all lovers of smartphone there are only two manufacturer... moreActually if you read the press releases many phones that can upgrade are going to run worse and Sony have already advised users of many of their phones that they should think twice before upgrading.
Defy+ does not have a good enough GPU for ICS and the CPU would also be border line. There will be skinny custom ROMs that may work ok but it won't compare with phone built to handle ICS.
