I have just lost my Defy Plus, its stolen; and when I called the Motorola helpline in India to help me detect as specified on their pack, they plainly refused to offer any help, despite the fact that I had bought it with a Bill; its a hopeless service and phone was damn slow... Pls avoid putting ur money into it; also I had a scratch on the screen despite the claim of it being scratch resistant...AVOI AVOID AVOID!!!

Maybe you are a defy user that's why your too protective about your cheap phone. Do some research first before commenting against any other brands such as sony xperia Neo which got too many votes from XDA forum against Defy+. by the way Neo have 3.7 inches and not "3.3" and also Bravia engine got brighter screen than any other phone and also include the dragontrail protection just like the corning gorilla of defy+.

Samsung's i8150/Galaxy W costs 15% less (in Brazil) and have better specs than this phone. Looks like Motorola's still living in 1997 when everybody would buy a handset from them only because it said "MOTOROLA" somewhere on the carcass. I thought the Google merge would somewhat change this, but I guess not.
Samsung's maybe doing so well with their Galaxy SIIs and Notes they don't even bother to market their mid-range phones.

AnonD-1267, 01 Apr 2012If you want ics, and less buggy software, then get the Neo,... moreGo for Neo V, cheaper and perfectly stable! It will have an official ICS upgrade this month, thanks for the developers of Sony! They did a great job!

Too many issues, rebooting, battery, no upgrade for ICS, Motorola team will just leave this phone behind. They announce that this phone will not have an ICS upgrade ever! Only few updates! No upgrade = No Enhancement, no future! Few developers create ICS but are you satisfied with that? Unlocking your phone, rooting, etc. which is really not your job and those upgrade are only trial and error for a neverending bugs! REALLY AN EPIC FAIL!!!

help, 31 Mar 2012What should i get motorola defy+ or sony ericsson xperia ne... moreIf you want ics, and less buggy software, then get the Neo, Defy Plus will not be getting an official taste of ics. I found a lot of hd games (especialy ones from gameloft) could not be downloaded from the android market as they were not compatable with the Defy Plus. Apart from Asphalt 5 the others I tried would not work.

Jagan, 30 Mar 2012i read in some review that Defy+ is getting rebooted freque... moreYes, rebooting issue is on mine (wife owns it now). Although I can find that it would reboot a couple of time within 48 hours, then it could go nearly a week without rebooting. Even after the latest update, this is still happening.
Sometimes it would happen while the phone is in standby and other times while I would be using it. No logical explenation, phone just randomly reboots.
