The first phone I ever had with a front-facing camera was the RAZR V3x many, many years ago. I didn't use it then, and I've never used it on any other phone I've had since then.
In fact most manufacturer's slowly started cutting them out.
That is until a certain company started making it in their phones, calling it something as corny as "face time" and marketing it as something revolutionary "new" and "must have". All their fanboys praised it and bla bla bla, others are "inferiour" crap and now we see them again.
Front facing cams on cellphones are pointless. Understandable in tablets and PCs, but not in phones.
The day I go 'round talking to a phone in my face, I deserve to step on a garde rake. . .

I am Motorola fan since 2000.
Now finally I am happy to have again a very nice phone from Motorola!
Battery approx. 3 days with using task killer to stop unwanted applications running in the background. very fast 1 GHz processor and it resists water, dust and shocks! Its has flashlight and using the "LED flashlight" application free from Google Market I can use it to see in the dark in my garage, or at home when opening the door lock, etc.
Never frozen menu like it happened to me on Samsung,etc.
BUY this phone!

I use the Moto Defy and the hardware device from Motorola is superb. However, most of my problems are with Android OS - Froyo. All things phone like call quality, speakerphone, screen are very satisfactory. BUT I do face issues with WiFi at times. Very FAST phone for its price!
Very GOOD phone!
Battery lasts about 2,5 days if unneeded programs are closed in the background.
Very BIG and nice screen and the phone is not heavy like Samsung, etc.
When you will buy you will touch it for days, because it feels so good in the hand.

Camera too is not that good compared with LG p500 which is coming a much lower price with 3MP.
Overall not worth the price it quotes.

AnonD-25616, 12 Dec 2011can any one tell me that what is the free ram of defy plus Although it has 512 mb ram, free ram is usually 150 mb or lower. Depends on number of apps running in the background. Defy+ is 2.3.6 gingerbread already

If you're into photography a lot or you want to capture those special moments in great detail then you'd want to look at a different phone. However for the average user who likes to take pictures to post on facebook or whatever the image quality is fine imo.

finally got my defy plus....its really a great phone....Motorola rocks.......everything is just perfect for the price....motorola has updated the software version to android 2.3.6

@tinxxx - I... moreSamsung Galaxy S+ Does NOT have 2.3.7 Officially! Only with dangerous and warranty voiding custom made ROM's. Not even 2.3.5 is officially made for Galaxy S+.
But the best phone DEFY+ from MOTOROLA has 2.3.5 officially!

actually recently i found defy and defy+ unavailable on motorola website............if it is discontinued then its a big loss........i wanted to purchase it....please share if anybody has any knowledge of this

Very good phone.
Not even Samsung Galasy S+ doesnt have Android version 2.35! This phone has it! Samsung = only 2.3.3!
DEFY + Motorola is the best phone!
