motofan.in, 08 Oct 2009this is wat will hit out n97 and iphoneN97??? The N97 is a massive disappointment anyway. Shouldn't even be thrown into the equation.
We'll have to wait and see if this is better than the Iphone or even the HTC Hero, these two are the front runners at the moment

Verizon Motorola Sholes not running MOTOBLUR
Motorola Sholes on Verizon wouldn't be running MOTOBLUR because it's to be a "Google Experience" device, and while that seemed silly at first, it certainly looks like the device Verizon CEO Lowell McAdam was waving around this morning was running stock Android. How can we tell? For starters, Blur has a different 3G icon in the menu bar, and different icons for several apps -- Calendar leaps out to us here. What's more, that certainly appears to be the default Android search box lurking back there, something that's not part of the Blur homescreen. That's definitely odd, considering how big a bet Motorola seemed to be placing on Blur as its handset differentiator -- and doubly odd since the HTC Hero Eric Schmidt was holding at the same photo op was running Sense on top of Android. We'll have to see how this one shakes out when the Sholes is actually launched, but for now we'd say those rumors are looking awfully true.

This phone is available for free on Prange at phones 4u. From orange direct the £30 contacts will cost you £48 for the phone. Orange have got one thing wrong though that I am waiting for feedback from before buying. Hardly any of their contracts have unlimited internet. Some have it in the evenings and weekends which is rubbish. For a social networking phone I think Orange sadly missed the point as to what is need from the contract!

I don't understand why gsmarena has not previewed or reviewed this phone. It has enough hype around it to be worthy of one...all you see is a bunch of samsung, and crappy nokia postings. Motorola has changed the social mobile game with this phone and there is plenty of support surrounding it creating a nice buzz... I wonder who's paying gsm to keep this underwraps...we look to you guys to keep us informed of the hottest phones on the market... shame gsm...serve the people not the companies

motoblur :--------------------------------------------
The slick-looking MOTOBLUR skin for Android has some familiar trends we've seen on mobile platforms. Like webOS, MOTOBLUR aggregates all of your contacts and their information from various sources and displays them in one seamless client. You can also view your contacts by individual network, if you prefer.
MOTOBLUR also has a single application for messaging, something we also saw on Palm's webOS. The Messages widget organizes all of your e-mail accounts into a single, universal inbox. One unique feature about MOTOBLUR's Messages widget is that it allows you to send rich text e-mails with colors, fonts and emoticons. You can also attach photos to your e-mails through the app as well.*****
Like Nokia's Symbian S60 OS, as seen on the N97, MOTOBLUR uses a live widget called the Happenings widget to give you instant access to your social networks from the homescreen. These are a bit different ..... and other social networks are constantly connected and updated on the app. You can also update your status with this widget and have it go to all or some of your social networks.
Another cool feature is the ability to track your phone via assisted GPS if it gets lost. You can wipe it remotely and then all of your information is saved on the MOTOBLUR's servers. Pretty nifty.******
The Cliq looks very similar to the photos we saw of the codenamed "Morrison" rumored GSM Motorola Android phone. It has a similar form factor to the T-Mobile G1with the familiar slide-out full QWERTY keyboard. Unlike the G1, however, the trackball has been replaced with a directional pad that is completely covered while the keyboard is stowed. The front-face features a large, wide-format screen and what looks to be three touch-sensitive buttons.
The Cliq has Wi-Fi support, turn-by-turn GPS, a 5-megapixel camera, has a standard 3.5-mm headphone jack and streams video in 24 fps (frames per second). It comes in an attractive titanium white and winter white.****
Quickoffice – The same app costs upwards of $12.99 on the iPhone, but Moto is including it for free
