If you want to buy it non-contractual you'll have to wait til the 29th of november for it to be in the Verizon store. And even then it's not sure if you can put any SIM-card in it and that it would work.

There seems to be a discrepancy on either the publishing facet or communication between Motorola and GSM Arena. The official Motorola website specifies a processing speed of 1Ghz and not 1.2Ghz.

Now now.. Let's not act as if we-know-it-all :) When people ask questions nicely, if you got nothing better to say, then don't say anything. Some people know less (or maybe nothing) about the questions they ask. THAT MAY BE THE MAIN REASON WHY THEY ARE ASKING. Don't you think? :)

so i just got my droid 2, three months ago. The CDMA only version.
Is there anyway I can upgrade from that to the Droid 2 global???
I live in india but go to college in the states so it definitely makes sense to have a phone I can use in both places.!
Or otherwise, can the droid 2 be unlocked so I can use it with a SIM Card in India?

How you can be popular? Look at Nokia phones, they got all including best quality video and photo camera! It's hard or imposible to integrate these few extra options?

This mobile will work on all frequencies, be it GSM or CDMA, hence the name DROID 2 Global.

The phone is only for Verizon. Too sad! I don't want to place an order a Droid 2... They should make this s global phone. About the Droid X, it is NOT available in the whole world even now. :(
