LOL, same as for Samsung, HOW you can consider 4.3'' big screen as "mini"? That's big for some.

This was going to be my next phone. Until I saw that it doesn't have a slot for a memory card. 16GB. Google forcing us to use Google's cloud. Carriers love this because it uses data, which they are all metering. I'll pass.

looks awesome. so little, so big screen. so good power. all other manufacturers wants only huge devices with good specs, and smaller ones are craps. no this time. AVE. but only what i ask - make it in millions of copies, sell it worldwide, not 100k in USA, 50k in other America's countries, 10k in Europe, 150 in Poland :D only for telecoms executives. ;/

Google's cloud services are not an acceptable substitute for hard space. If I'm underground in the subway for an hour, or in the basement level of my gym, streaming music/movies aren't going to do me any good. Streaming also drains the battery quicker, and eats into your data plan. Smartphones are essentially small computers that we use for many things. Releasing new models in 2013 with such limited internal storage is just stupid. This phone was so close to being perfect.

It's a perfect one from MOTO/Google, 16GB internal and no expandable - sounds like something better than microSD is on it's way where no-one will need external SD cards anymore,in an experimental stage by google, I don't know why people complain about 16GB being less - you can put more than 1000 songs and more than 10 HD movies - you guys really need more, if yes, if you really need more than that buy a laptop!!! Any time better than iphones and don't even think of comparing with cheap galaxies.Way to go MOTO good job with google.

With a memory card slot this phone would have been perfect. This move has google written all over it. All the previous droids had SD slots.

AnonD-80553, 26 Jul 2013The chipset is called Motorola X8. The X8 SoC is Qualcomm... moreBut don't you think that its the same chipset that's used in xperia sp.

Motorola has decided to fail without even coming back. Motorola and Google should slap themselves for not putting in a card slot. There is no radio either.

This phone looked perfect when it was listed as having a microSD card slot. Way better than S4 mini.
But 16 GB internal (12 GB usable tops) non-expandable storage is a no-go.
Bummer, Motorola.

AnonD-114717, 26 Jul 2013I believe they mentioned the chipset part correctly. The chipset is called Motorola X8.
The X8 SoC is Qualcomm hardware with a few tweaks especially for Motorola. Dual-core CPU, quad-core Adreno 320 GPU, low-power core, and a core dedicated to the language processing in Google Now and Motorola's custom implementation. Hence it would be more correct to write Motorola X8 at least on CPU.
