Its been told numerous times that ICS upgrade will unlock the gsm capabilities of this phone and you will be able to use this phone any where in the world for 2g since its a quadband gsm phone and as far as 3g is concerned pls crosscheck the 3g band frequency with your home country band or frequency or else it wont work. Some countries have 3g working on 1700 band and if you are living in such a country then 3g will not work for you since this phone cannot receive 3g signal on 1700 band but still 2g will work. and if you happen to live in USA then gsm(at&t or tmobile) will not work for you since verizon is careful enough to block home(usa) gsm networks. Radiocomm hack might work but there is no guarantee ....

I can't remember if I had this problem when I was on ICS but after the jelly bean update I am noticing that applications are not running properly in the background. For example if I am downloading a song or video using boat browser or dolphin browser and if I sent the application to background by pressing home key then the download pauses and it only resumes when I bring the application back to foreground. So i am not able to multi task, simply defeats the purpose of having a smart phone working on Android.But I have a Motorola photon and there is no such problem with it. So guys need to know if its the same with you people or is this some strange problem that only I am facing or may be some setting is causing this problem.Anyways guys do let me know.

GSM via sim card and... moreThere is no way you can use both gsm and cdma(even if meid registered) at the same time because in the mobile networks menu under network mode you can either choose gsm/umts or cdma/lte. You cannot choose both. So its either cdma or gsm but only one at a time.

Soyam, 14 Mar 2013Is this phone water-proof ? Razr is splash resistant only not waterproof. The screen and internal circuits of razr are nano-coated to repel water, So if you accidentally spill some water or other liquid on your phone then most likely you need not worry but if you try to submerge your phone like with defy + or the recent xperia z, consider your phone doomed.

I bought this one from infibeam and i can confirm that this charger will not cause screen lag while charging. This particular charger has a thick wire, there is another model which has thin wire than the one i suggested and this other model causes screen lag while charging with my motorol photon. But the charger i suggested, i have used with motorola photon, htc vivid, htc rezound and the current razr and i can confirm this charger dosent cause screen lag at all. Charging time is the same as with the original motorola charger. I've tested them both and battery back up is also good.

yojo, 04 May 2013HEy ramesh usually takes 1.30hrs to fully charge and i am u... moreI used a samsung charger and it took around 4 hrs to charge completely, but actually i do have the original motorola charger that came with the phone and even then it took around 3 hrs to charge completely in switched off state, so an hour less. Unbelievable when you are telling me just 1.5 hrs with nokia charger. hope you are not joking. Another thing i also got a reply from another person as well who says its 3 hrs with original motorola charger. So i think its around 3 hrs.

HEy ramesh usually takes 1.30hrs to fully charge and i am using a nokia charger
check with your electrical point as well , sometimes due to low voltage it might take more time

Can someone tell me how long does the razr take to charge completely in switched off state and switched on state? I am using a samsung charger and it took around 4 hrs to charge completely in swutched off state. So wondering if its around the same time for others as well.
