I am unable to use data on reliance cdma postpaid in Hyderabad .my mobile is xt912 updated to 4.0.4 ics OTA long back.now I am only using wifi. pls help me in this regard.

to all you nonbelievers out here, and to back up the person that said you can use gsm oh and u have to have the latest update cause gsm is unlocked !!!!
here is the steps
1/ Go to menu>>system settings>>more>>Mobile networks
a/ make sure Data Enabled is checked
b/ change global data roaming access>> to Connect to data services while roaming
c/change network mode from Global to GMS/UMTS (this will now allow you to enter the "Access Point Names" menu")
Now you should go on the internet (not via your phone-use another device or do it before hand in WIFI) and look up the APN settings (Access Point Names settings) for the country and carrier that you are using
d/ go to menu>>system settings>>more>>Mobile Networks>>Access Point Names
hit menu>>create new APN
enter the setting that you found on the internet then back out
switch to airplane mode to turn off your telephone service.
Wait a minute
Turn off airplane mode and you should be connected to 3g (PS make sure your WIFI is off otherwise you will not connect)

obviously if you are on a 2g network you need to select GSM/UTMS as LTE IS 4g.

I am using xt912 in Pakistan and I am facing some problems related to this device.
1- I am using this phone on 2G network what should I select in network mode Global,GSM/UMTS or LTE/CDMA.
2- When I am connected to Internet through my wifi I can do net surfing on it but when come to downloading side it fails to download things even at full signals.
3- I can send and receive data via Bluetooth but if file is larger than 7 mb it does not receives it.
4- When i use its own headphone (3.5mm) it respond to it but when I use headphone of other manufacturers like samsung,Iphone ,HTC etc it does not respond to it .is anybody facing this compatibility issue ?
If any body knows how to solve this problem plz reply me

There is also a problem in downloading things when I am connected to internet through wifi. can do net surfing but it does not download things .this malfunctioning is done even the device shows full signals

Anonymous, 15 Oct 2012How does one switch from CDMA to GSM?Simple! Phone just recognize if you insert a SIM CARD or not or you can switch on the settings. Global mode (CDMA/GSM) or just CDMA or GSM. Not a big deal.
