love the OTA ics update, now can use it on gsm or cdma via omh sim in india. Solid phone, loving ics :)

OK.....
I purchased this phone in the US (VERIZON) Motorola Droid RAZR XT912.... with the intentions of using it at home (CANADA) Rogers Network
Nobody online has a clue wtf is going on with this phone so after like 2 weeks of tryna get this thing to work here.... i got it.
1st... this phone with the stock os will ONLY give you a CDMA option and CANNOT be unlocked without bootstrapping it or whatever and i don't know how to do that, nor do i want to dork around in my phone... i just want it to work stock..so that wasn't an option.
2nd.... Ice Cream Sandwich(ICS) was just available for it to update today... this UNLOCKS it to work with ANY sim card... CDMA, GSM, Verizon, Rogers, Fido, whatever
3rd ..... As it will connect to a GSM network for calls and texting... it WILL NOT work for Data .

if u have xt912 and u want to use gsm u must update to ICS 4.0, ICS unblock gsm module :)

Okay so I've got a question. I have a Verizon Droid Razr with no contract, and a T-Mobile Galaxy Vibrant with a contract. I want to drop the T-Mobile contract and use the Razr but I don't want a contract with ANYONE anymore. Is there any way the Razr can be used on a prepaid Verizon plan or maybe even MetroPcs? Any help on this would be way more than appreciated!

yes it does work on gsm network, but you have to hack the phone, plus i can confirm that works cause i have done the hack and gsm network and data network works fine, the only issue is on shearing wifi to other devices (wifi hotspot)

Love my Motorola Droid Razor XT912, i look up alot of Spexs online my Droid holds up strong as hell against all other new phones out The phone is bullet proof Gorilla glass in the front and Kevlar in the back need i say more the Razor holds its name with me....Fast as hell to cant wait to get ics on it ....great online play also ...

Ur service provider can easily do it for u or give u a new one. Just google image it and u will see what it looks like. It's pretty simple actually lol
