AnonD-24281, 23 Oct 2011no nfc wtf?The differences? Only the Galaxy Nexus has NFC – not something
hugely important now, but a feature whose
importance will grow over the life of a two year
            contract, starting with Android Beam.
Only the Droid RAZR has HDMI-out, allowing you
to connect your phone to TVs and monitors for big screen viewing of movies, playing of games. To many people, NFC and HDMI are more buzz
words than practical power features, so let’s just
say they cancel each other out. NFC might gain a
lot of ground in the next two years, but we’re
not going to give it the edge on the possibility
that a specific standard takes off. How many people use the NFC on their Nexus S I know I don’t. (Winner: Draw)

Motorola DROID RAZR CPU Details Outed by
MotoDev Site For those of you who happened to tune into Motorola’s unveiling of the Droid RAZR in New York on Tuesday, we’re sure you were thinking the same thing we were when they mentioned the dual-core CPU. And that was “where are all the details”? Thanks to the MotoDev site, exact details have been revealed. The device will house the TI OMAP 4460 CPU found in the Galaxy Nexus, slightly more powerful than that of the 4430 found in the Droid Bionic. Not too shabby considering the 4460 can technically be overclocked to 1.5 GHz. Feel free to start bench marking the heck out of the device and let us know, wont you? Don’t forget to check out our coverage of the event and our hands-on with the super razor 7.1 mm thin device

Why Droid Razr is better than the Galaxy S2:

                                  1. First of all the Ultra thin 7.1mm vs Galaxy S2 8.5mm
                                  2. Droid
RAZR got qHD resolution (that is, 540 x 960
                                  pixels) as against Galaxy S2’s 480 x 800 pixels
resolution, so we think Droid RAZR beats S2 when it comes to display and anyway,
‘Advanced’ seems more advanced to me than
‘Plus’ variant of Super AMOLED display.

                                  3. Droid Razr Video call HD 720p vs Galaxy S2 VGA.

                                  4. Droid Rarz Size 480 x 800 pixels, 4.3 inches (~217 ppi pixel
                                  density) 540 x 960 pixels, 4.3 inches (~256 ppi pixel
                                  density) vs Galaxy S2 480 x 800 pixels, 4.3 inches (~217 ppi pixel
                                  density)

                                  4. Droid Razr Build quality:

                                  I think Droid
RAZR beats it. The Droid RAZR’s back got Kevlar
coating around the edges and in between lies the
fabric material, much cooler than plastic — and without making it prone to normal fall-down. Not
only back, but Droid RAZR’s front and overall
body design is pretty cool, and refreshing too.

                                  5. Well, Droid RAZR got more powerful 1780 mAh battery than S2’s 1650 mAh and got more storage space, at 32Gb, than 16GB. RAM is equal at 1GB in both devices.

                                        Motorola RAZR launching on
O2 contracts this November Here’s something of a rarity for Motorola. Its new Motorola RAZR has attracted some network support in the UK, with O2 announcing it’ll be
stocking the ultra-thin new Moto mobile from
November. There are no prices or dates other
than a vague “November” – but you can register your interest to have O2 ping you an email when it has more numbers to announce. motorola razr o2 In other related RAZR news, Motorola has said today that the phone WILL get an update to Android 4.0 some time in early 2012. Make of
that what you may, as Motorola’s software
updates thus far have been a little… haphazard,
                                        especially in the EU.
