to ^_^x : thanks again ...anyway ebay sellers doesn't carry any red/white cover , really ( I'm searching it from 5 days now )
Since I'm in italy I might find myself in some difficulties finding this cover...
anyone who can help / suggest a store to order the white /red cover from ?
If I can't find any I will fall on a silver cover , which is beautiful but quite *std.* looking.

undoubtedbly, this is a great phone! i just hope and pray that moto will release some fix to the inbox message capacity problem and possibility to make subfolders.
here's a tip from experience:
- if ever u r transfering pics to E398 from a k700i(or any media applicable), please dont use the extended resolution of 1280x960 coz it will result to an error "Too large to display".i guess lower than the said resolution is ok since i was still able to open a 438x700 file.

E398 rocks! it's fast,t-flash is nice, stereo speakerrrss!!!super!good cam.,nice reception,VERY good battery life (only if you play with the camera and mp3s and games all day long say "bye battery"). I love this phone, i had k700 before, this one is much better.

To Robert-It's one of the best phones right now...most of the bugs have been fixed in the new version of the firmware...that would be the 96R (although some are saying that 97R is laready available).
To Jojo-it's actually a bit of a shock that the K700i's price has dropped so much in such a short period of time...very unusual for Sony Ericsson...anyway, one piece of advice...don't let go of this phone! Hehe! I've seen the E630...looks good, but it can't match this one in terms of features...hehe...just my two cents. ^_^x
To Francesco-Try eBay...there are probably a lot out there already...and I'll email you the pic I got of the phone with a white and red cover...sorry for the quality of the pic though...hehe.

anyone who wants to buy a slightly used E398?Coz i myt be selling mine. Don't get me wrong, but this is d best phone i ever had!no complain except for d lack of SMS storage..my unit is black & i have just updated d software to 96r..i got it from globe almost 3 months (so it's locked to globe, but u can always unlock it in ghills :p)it's just a hard-habit-to-break that i always change my mobile phone that often..i'm just curious abt this Samsung E630 (No MP3, Bluetooth, Video but d design is awesome)..u can contact me thru yahoo: my ID is jeyytm.. or post ur number here so i can col u..
By d way, those wondering if this is a cool phone, this is!D price speaks for itself..Before, SE's K700 & Nokia's 6230 are expensive than this, but now E398 is more expensive! It's still a whopping P19k in all stores including ghills..unlike d other 2, their prices have dropped dramatically..typical nokia..

To unknown-that's a problem other brands (Moto and SE included) have because of Nokia...people have become too used to Nokia's UI so it takes them a while to adjust...And Nokia's UI has become so boring!

To Aris-I see...I'll try ti get mine upgraded when I get the time...anyway, flexing means editing something in the softwarelike the language pack and some other stuff, and I do believe there is a flex somewhere that enables storing of SMS in the phone.
To Jack-You're gonna need a program called P2kman to delete the pre-installed files on the phone.
To Dia-yes, there is a way to make the phone capture videos but it is at the expense of the transflash card.
To Alexhee-try www.howardforums.com for the newest version...and it's actually a flash, not a flex. ^_^x
To Motofan-It's probably because the E398 has a lot more stuff in it.
To Rafael-Firmware is another term for software. When you flash your phone, you actually change the software version most of the time it's an upgrade. And you can't compare this phone with the 3660 as that is a smart phone, this is a multimedia phone. If you want the best multimedia features available in a phone right now, get this. If you want the flexibility of the Symbian OS, get the 3660...it all depends on what you prefer, actually. Price is Php 19000+ in all authorized dealers...you can get it for 14000 if you get the low Globe plans, or free in the higher Globe plans. And forgive the grammar, most of the people who post here are not natural English speakers.
To Bill-you mean the Java mp3 player? Try to use the phone's built-in one.
To Alex-why is that? you experienced any major problems with it?
To Diane-As I said earlier, get the P2kman software and use it to delete said files. For more instructions, go to www.howardforums.com. And the addresses of the Moto service centers in Libis and in Buendia are printed in the warranty card included in the package.
To Motofan-as I said earlier, firmware is just the software.
To Alexhee-try searching www.howardforums.com...see if anybody in there's got the 97R already...I do hope it enab;es video recording...hehe!

Saw in some forums stated 97R firmware can enable video capture function in E398. Cool. However some said can't. So who have 97R firmware on their phone can let me know? Thanks.
Basically, I just flashed my E398 to 95R. Menu & msg respond much faster than before.

rafael: i bought my e398 at P19000 @ the hub sa greenbelt. if you'll gonna buy at digital exchange (located in glorietta), it's much expensive by 900 pesos, but you get to have an openline unit and free downloads.
