Well I just converted my E398 to ROKR E1 and yet don't know about the life of the battery.
If you want to mod your phone, first you have to be extra carefull and familier with the softwares available. Read some guides posted on motomodders to mod your current phone, when u r familier, then try a step ahead. I did this way and win. well it takes a little time, and if you want to do it now , goto motomodders.net, register (it's free) or goto http://mirror.softcox.com/e398-to-ROKR/ for complete step by step guide and make sure, follow every step, each an every sstep. it's urgrnt for u'r phone. I want to upgrade e398 to video recording and itunes. please tell me how to do it. I saw motomodders tat it can be done. But not able work on tat p2k software. Please tell me.

Questions for E398 users:
1) Where to upgrade video recording and is it free and does it record up to one hour of video?
2) Does it last for twelve hours of MP3 before battery goes flat?
3) How many MB can take one hundred pictures and record one hour of video?
4) Can it transfer 5MB of MP3 file and how long is that?
5) Can it put up to 1GB TransFlash onto this phone?
PLEASE TELL ME THE REAL ANSWERS AS THIS PHONE IS GOOD BUT ONE SERIOUS PROBLEM IS THAT I NEED VIDEO RECORDING. PLEASE BE HONEST WITH ME. PLEASE TELL ME THE STEPS HOW TO TRANSFER MP3 FROM INTERNET TO THIS PHONE.

well i`ve done flash a couple of time, and the website helprd me most is www.motomodders.net. sign up there for free and you can download lots of softwares needed for flashing and modding the phone. but above all you need PST software and search it in google. and for step to step modding view the articles in the website.

Thnx, for your we address, but it's all in russian, i wanna find the firmware for i398, (here can i install E790 instead?) and which reflash is better, currently I have 9CR, is 99R is better? and how can i install java games from my PC, and can i install java games in memory card? thank you

do you know where i could find software upgrades for my motorola e398? i would like to upgrade my e398 to an e398i phone, but i dont know how. can you please send me the sites where i could go so that i could download the files that i need? and i also have a problem connecting my handset to a computer, it flashes a "mobile not connected" message, do you know what culd be the problem with my handset? thanks in advance. sorry for the inconvenience.

1. Can i install games or software in memory card?
2 No software for theme making (not skin) is available, (HELP)?
3 where can really find i398 firmware (i got the guide, but the firmware is locked due to membership offer)

I bought a Jabra BT150 Bluetooth headset but my Moto e398 is not able to detect it. The bluetooth is switched on, can any one help? Please do email me at krikah@gmail.com

the phone is best than e1..after flashing it can unlimited vid rec and hv itune phone.the sound bass than e1..............

It does have a radio - it is just like the rokr e1 and actually better due the non-slip-rubber material of the case and much more... I would like to add that I will be posting some links for the radio feature. And people please stop being leechers! - share whatever you have in your computer because thats he only way we will stay above water... maybe gsmarena will delete my post so for those who actually got to read it here is the link for the FULL flash monsterpack and tool with radio, itunes, video, and manual for full modding,... enjoy and dont kill your phone!

this phone does not have a radio it is not locked because there is no radio.
if there was a radio the people at motomodders.net would no about it ok all the other modified mp's dont have radio on them because there is no radio!

Listen, everyone is saying that the e398 is the rokr e1, well guess what, its not, the rokr e1 has better features, it has itunes better games better speakers cool little lights on the side, and uno what...i hate this e398

this phone is the best! modding it since last year and haven got bored of it ever since. has great speakers that can be overclocked... has a video recorder that could be unlocked... could unlock quad band... many many things else! THIS PHONE ROCKS THE WORLD!
