Nice phone,but video recording would have added a little bit more.i feel sad when i see my friends holding phones having video recording and supporting many types of video playback ,not just mpeg-4.

is it true that everytime someone calls, this phone doesn't ring AND vibrate AT THE SAME TIME?

i just bought motorola e398 yesterday. it's amazing..can get a mobile with mp3 in a cheap price..
by the way, im having a problem now...can anybody help me as soon as possible?
1)when i on my bluetooth in setup, i try to look for devices in hands-free..then, scanning. but, there are alwis stated "no devices found" on my hp although my friend's hp is on for his bluetooth beside me.but, my friends hp can sense my devices..
2) "find me" in the setup is for what?

first of all i am very satisfied with this phone but i have some querries :
1. I want to change my message alert ring tone how can I ?
2. How can i increase my volume level more than 7 ?
3. I want to see movie on full screen is there any software available?
4. I also want to remove my service providers logo ( AIRTEL ) from my home screen.
CAN ANYBODY GIVE ME ANSWERS.................

Amazing feel, look, durable, amazing memmory flash works good the setup i easy to understand and very user friendly customizable. could go on and on of how great this is only one thing i can think of and thats not fastest phone but what motorola phone is? BUY IF YOUR CONSIDERING!!!!

for now,if u want ur e398 have more memory for message and unable to recorder,u should upgrade to i398(e790)that u also play music with itunes

You have to go to Multimedia > Videos > Videos Menu > Switch Storage Device > TRANS
You'll find your file there.
As far as i know, Motorola have helpdesk in most of countries.. If ur in Indonesia, you can call any matters related with Motorola in (021) 575 4533..

I´m thinging about buying this phone but, I must know if the fone will ring and vibrate in the same time, and most important, if it will rang up when i want to! Bicouse, my other motorola C353 did not rang up and i had to pay a lot for those calls.

Video files must be in mpeg4 and you can play on phone.
This phone is better than V3.
It s very good, like all motorola. Everything work, but, to be perfect phone, E398 need better camera, nothing else...

A very good phone, but with the use of the cable and a little help from http://www.howardforums.com/ This phone can be upgraded to a brilliant piece of work.
I have upgraded my E398 to a V398 which just makes this phone that much more of a marvel.
I love phone cables.
