Have you any experience in flashing/flexing your phone? have you used pst,p2k tools etc? if you answer no, then i suggest you read and read before ateempting to upgrade to i398 or E790 . A lot of E398 have met premature death because of some problems in upgrading but luckily mine was not one of them. go here . www.motomodders.net . go to E398 thread then go to thread E398-E790. there you will find shoeys guide. its all there. good luck. the video is so cooooollll.

hey..before,my e398 phone has green light when i charges d phone//now the light gone..why ah? the charger lso has problem..have to connect properly..annoying eh sumtym

PLEASE HELP !!!! I CONNECTED MY e 398 and it was connected for a second or two .... until my win xp sp2 said ..... something about device malfunctioned ... WHAT IS WRONG ?!?!?! anything to do with SP 2 ???? if about it please guide me because i see some of you had problems with SP2 and you fixed it ... how ?

My E398 now can RECORD VIDEO!!! and with excellent graphics at that!!!!! I followed shoey's guide moding E398 - E398i. I also got a 128 mb card.its just great. go to motomodders . it also has i-tunes. cool!!!! menus are faster. If you like modding your phone getting its full potential, this phone is for you.
A WARNING though. alot of E398 phones got busted this way coz of unknown reasons. luckily mine was not one of them. GREAT PHONE>>>>>>>> never regretted I got this instead of K700.

stefan i know what the package should include, where is it not sold (in romania) with the original accesories? i intend to buy it from virtually the only place it's worth every penny : germanos. yes exactly 100 $. so please email me if it comes with the original package there. txh in advance

No, if you want to transfer info only to the TransFlash card. Using MobilePhone Tools is extremely annoying and it's quite useless. Nevertheless, you have to install the drivers for the phone to use it as a modem or to update its firmware/flex.

The best way to listen to MP3 on E398 is to buy an adapter cable to convert from 2.5 mm to 3.5 mm regular stereo connector. This way you can use regural headphones for a really great sound.

andrei, i bought mine 3 days ago also for $100 but with the handsfree, the transflash card and the data cable&software, the problem is where you buy it from, cause most of the shops remove these accesories to sell them separatly, or to make the phone cheaper for them to buy it from the supplyer, so they make more money. it is a question of fair play towards the customers. i add that the original package has these accesories from factory.

Hello all!I think this phone is excellent but not that great,besides the slow navigation and else.My recent phone is Siemens M55 and i don't have any complain about it even it's a bit "old fashion"!hehehe!I'm about to switch my phone to a new one,but i can't decide which one E398 or Siemens CX70!Can you guys tell me which one better,not to mention the sound quality,memory and bluetooth,even though here in my country(Indonesia)the price are the same,about $200!THANX VERY MUCH!

Bought the E398 as a replacement for my T610. It's a good phone, but missing a couple of features that I never thought it would not have. It has no auto keypad lock (manually lock everytime), and no beep/tone confirmation to speak the handsfree name to dial out (using a bluetooth tooth headset(HS810)). You may have to hack the volume setting (I did) if it's too low for your headset with P2KTools.

HELP!! i want to listen to my mp3's on my new Moto E398 via the headset i got with the mobile - Is it possible though?? i've been trying to figure it out and have come to a zero conclusion. If you cannot listen to music via the headset (Platform Stereo Headset 77719) then can you purchase a headset that will?

Nice phone bought one today!The sounds are very good,you can even feel the speakears vibrate!It has a clean screen with clear pictires.I love it!!!
