Does it support Netflix HDR??

Just bought this phone here in Malaysia for RM1,150 (US$255) after much deliberation.

I was looking for a phone that was powered by SD778 as I find it to be the most well-balanced chipset currently in the market. The latest Mediatek 1200+ series and SD800 series were prone to overheating even for basic tasks (Proven by my Vivo X70 Pro and Samsung S22 used within my family)

Was comparing this with Realme GT Master Edition but ended up buying the Motorola as I am already bored with Color OS (was previously using Oppo Reno for 3 years).

So far this is my short review:

    Pros:
    1) Extremely Light!
    2) Thin and Comfortable to Hold
    3) Amazing Display! It looks better than the one in Realme GT Master Edition. And it comes with 144Hz Refresh Rate. No other phone in this price range can compete with this phone in terms of Display.
    4) Loud Stereo Speakers. Again, Best-in-Class. Something I wanted for the long time!
    5) The UI is really good. Some unique motorola features on top of Stock Android with no Bloatware! Only thing I miss from my Oppo is the Double Tap to Wake feature
    6) Ready-for Feature is quite similar to Samsung DEX. I think this might be the cheapest phone to have this feature.
    7) Performance, undoubtedly, is so smooth. No stutters or overheating issues at all even under heavy load. Honestly, I don't even know why people need the Flagship Snapdragon chips for everyday use.

    Cons:
    1) Battery life, as expected with its 4,000 mAH, is rather average. Can get through a day at max and not more. But atleast it charges faster with the supplied 33W Charger
    2) Only 128GB Storage, with no MicroSD expansion. This is a downgrade for me coming from my 256GB Oppo Reno. No idea why Motorola didn't offer the 256GB variant here.
    3) The rear camera isn't as good as my Oppo Reno despite having better camera specs (50MP OIS). photos look over-sharpened with higher contrast. My Oppo Reno produces more eye-pleasing photos, especially for human subjects, even though the colors do seem over-saturated.

Overall, highly recommended phone under USD300. Unlike Realme and Xiaomi phones which often focus purely on Specs, the Motorola offers a better user-experience in my opinion. Go for it!

            Moto Edge 30
            - Lightweight (155g) it´s perfect for carrying around all day)
            - Super fast charge (tks to it´s small battery capacity)
            - Cheper of the 3
            - Stereo speakers

            But

            No 4K 60fps
SD 778 is very good, but not as good as others
Battery life maybe a concern over time (4000mah) it´s small for today standards.

            Moto edge 30 pro

            - Faster of 3
            - Main camera has OIS
            - Super fast charge and wirelesss charge

            - May overheat
            - Average battery life
            - No telephoto zoom

            Moto edge 20 pro

            - Design wise is the prettiest of the 3
            - Great camera arrangement with 5x optical zoom telephoto
            - Excellent battery life

Only mono speaker (but loud) honestly i was afraid of this, my previous phone had stereo. you won´t miss trust me. i use true wireless plugs

Definitely if you can live with no stereo, the edge 20 pro is the most balanced choice of them all. Has the perfomance and the battery life that is expectable, photos are great not so great under poor light conditions but still passable, optical zoom allows you to reach photos that others won´t reach (it´s really usable).

i would discard for sure the edge 30 pro, that chipset overheats, and battery life sucks, and camera, it´s almost the same as the edge 30.
i dont´value wireless charge and stereo speakers that much to pay the extra.
Believe me the Edge 20 pro is still a great choice, you won´t regret

I am satisfied with it. Battery life is the main weakness from my point of view but it is sufficient for my purposes and better than expected (after reading some other reviews). Weight of 155g is perfect for weight weenies.

Kindly choose between this and Edge 20 Pro, I am confused between these two. Edge 30 has stereo speakers, 50M main camera with OIS. Edge 20 Pro has bigger battery, faster SoC, more ram 12 vs 8, but mono speaker and 108m main camera without OIS.

DarkRyzen , 29 Aug 2022this phone has poled screen.. not amoled a stands for active matrix oled,p means plastic oled, different things, most phones with oled screens below 500 usd are with glass oled panels

Heyyo, I just recently got the Motorola Edge 30 and it's a fantastic device! The stereo speakers are fantastic and the vibration motor works great too which were the two main gripes I had with the Lenovo Z6 Pro I had prior to this (single speaker was quiet and the vibration motor was weak so I missed a lot of notifications and calls).

I maintain TWRP and LineageOS for the Lenovo Z6 Pro (zippo), Lenovo Z5 Pro GT (heart), Asus Zenfone 5z (Z01R), Motorola Moto x4 (payton) and the LeEco Le Max 2 (x2) and I definitely plan on doing the same with this phone. :)

Currently I have LineageOS 19.1 working on Edge 30 (dubai) but the UDFPS, DT2W, refresh rates and selinux enforcing still needs to be fixed

Guys thinking of buying it but checked the camera and the picture looks absurd. Any person's face looks like a drawing on the paper. Is it the same issue with all of you? More over any other major issue?

Having used only Motorola phones since the 80's. In the market recently for a new one and as allways it didn't disappoint at all. My favourite one was the XT910 but this XT2203-1 is way way better. Glad I've chosen this model.
