All Edge divaces received 2 Major OS Update. Probably will wait a little more this time Security update will Stop somewhere in May 2027 for Edge 40 it's impossible to not get new Version of OS.

This phone is one year 5 months old and it's not announced to receive Android 15 upgrade.
I have an Edge 30 which is 2 years old and of course won't receive the upgrade either.
It's a shame for Motorola.

The phone it's enough to Powerful with Dimensity 8020 with Mali G77 MC9 and 256 GB / 8 RAM . Display with HDR 10+ 1200 Nits P OLED it's a beauty
For Display use a film protector and Soft Silicon Case with protection. It's very compact and slim the Sound it's very clear have Aluminum Frame . Android 14 looks very good approximately to the Pixel Phone. Have Protection from Network 2G OFF, and another more features gesture Edge notification! Feeling in hand it's a Premium Phone! It's more Powerful and light from Sam A54 and A35 Security Patch it's 1 September 2024 received once a 2 month. Have Premium feature like Wireless charging 15W an 68 W weird
This Device Received just Android 15 and Security Patch from somewhere in May 2027. The battery stay one day with Signal and VPN activate permanently in background. All Major Google services it's closed and I put independent App Open Source.Overall with a good price it's best Deal. I'm pay 230 Eur New . Sincerely I like it more than Sam.

I don't use a case either, since that defeats the object of buying a lighter phone for me. I have no idea how you've managed to scratch up the screen in just a few days, but I imagine you'd do it to any phone if you're so careless. Gorilla Glass is by no means impervious to scratching if treated badly.
The phone isn't perfect and IMO the Android 14 update was a downgrade, but overall I've been very happy with it.

This phone is not recommended. Edge 40 is not a durable device without any Gorilla Glass. I suggest everyone to go for Edge 30 Fusion within Motorola.
The prime reason for Edge 30 Fusion.
The snapdragon 888 and 888 plus is not the same. The Snapdragon 888 plus performance is almost near to 8 Gen 1.
My another Oppo find X3 pro with snapdragon 888 Geekbench score at single core : 1250 / multi core 3500
While
My Edge 30 Fusion with Snapdragon 888 plus Geekbench score at single core : 1600 / multi core 4000
While the recently launched Edge 50 pro with snapdragon 7 gen 3 performance fits exactly with snapdragon 870 while the Edge 50 fusion with 7s Gen 2 performance fits exactly with snapdragon 855.!
To be Honest: Motorola Edge 30 Fusion is way ahead of its time than Edge 40, Edge 50 fusion, Edge 50 pro.!

Apart from that it's all good. Good connectivity, screen,compact size, fast charging.
So decide based on your preferences.
In fact , newly launched edge 50 neo and some of its variants are better in terms of chipset. So, check that too.

I'm super satisfied with this phone, the only problem I have is that it does not have nice looking cases since it's not a popular model.
I just can't believe that there are people begging and crying for something better than what Edge 40 is right now. The price was slighly higher than £200 when it's launched. You get what you paid, and if you paid more then it's your fault, do research before using your money, especially when you are poor. Earn more money and go buy Galaxy, Pixel, or whatever brand you are simping for, if you want better software or support.

The UI of this phone is not as good as samsung S20FE 5G which i used earlier. In fact, very few, may be 20, wallpaper and themes and font choices available,
And phone lags while capturing photo.

My voice isn't clear to reciever. And while using video calling. I have to use earpiece always instead of handsfeee. Someone said that this can be due to noise cancellation feature in edge 40. And that this won't be rectified. Has anyone here been gone through same issue?
