Motorola Edge 40 launched in India, sales begin May 30

As promised, Motorola today introduced the Edge 40 in India. It comes in Jet Black, Reseda Green, and Coronet Blue colors in a single 8GB/256GB configuration priced at INR29,999 ($360/€335). The smartphone will go on sale starting May 30 through Flipkart and Motorola's official Indian website, with those pre-ordering it on Flipkart getting free screen damage protection worth INR9,500 ($115/€105).

The Motorola Edge 40 is powered by the Dimensity 8020 SoC and runs Android 13 out of the box. It's built around a 6.55" 144Hz FullHD+ OLED screen with a centered punch hole for the 32MP selfie camera and a fingerprint reader underneath for password-less phone unlocking.

The back panel of the Motorola Edge 40 - which is made of acrylic plastic on the Coronet Blue model and has a vegan leather finish on Jet Black and Reseda Green versions - sports a 50MP primary camera (with OIS) and a 13MP ultrawide unit.
