Motorola Edge 40 Pro to arrive with 125W fast charging, FCC filing confirms

Ro, 16 November 2022

The guys at Mysmartprice unearthed an FCC filing, belonging to the upcoming Motorola Edge 40 Pro. Presumably, the exact same device passed through TENAA earlier this month revealing much of the specs, but the FCC gives us a bit more insight when it comes to charging.

According to the FCC listing, the Edge 40 Pro will support 125W wired charging as well as wireless and reverse wireless charging. Sadly, there's no word on the wireless charging speed.

The certification also points at two options - a single SIM variant and a dual SIM option that has a physical SIM slot and e-SIM support.

Even though this isn't much, the FCC listing itself suggests that the Motorola Edge 40 Pro is inching closer to launch.

What is wifi calling and is it the same as using an app such as TextNow and using the app to text and call for free, without a sim card in the phone?

Of course it does! Android 12 does support WiFi calling ! My Samsung Galaxy A22-5G supports both sims with WiFi calling... Maybe your phone is a bit of wreck, and can't get A12. Regards J. Herer ☀ 🍹
