Samsung is awesome with One ui. Moto phones feel laggy once in a while. Things like sometimes when you tap for typing keyboard appears but doesn't take the input, laggy camera etc. keeps happening. Samsung one ui is very smooth and makes feel like keep using the phone. After 2 months, I still miss my battery beast Galaxy F62

hey, someone who has experience both of this and Samsung Galaxy A34? would get A34 for more than 100€ cheaper. .. which one better, need good but cheap phone

WitheredSoul, 03 May 2025Would've been such a peak phone if not for the absolut... moreI have not had any battery issues what so ever. Frankly, I find this phone to be one of the better optimised phones I've used below flagship money. Packed in a generous size and weight for this day and age, too.

Faster storage, sd card, headphone jack and better update policy? Yes of course. :)

Would've been such a peak phone if not for the absolute horrendous battery (and ufs 2.2 only).

No microsd card slot and headphone jack sucks as well (mainly microsd slot)

Anonymous, 01 May 2025Hello everyone This phone or samsung A16 ? All current Samsung smartphones except for the flagship S line have virtual proximity sensors. This is an instant no-go for me. 50 Neo is way better than A16 judging by the specs — and as a 50 Neo owner I would definitely recommend this compact midranger. Very good features and performance for its price atm.

Anonymous, 01 May 2025Hello everyone This phone or samsung A16 ? This is a midrange phone
                The a16 is lower end

This phone promised to be the best one could have asked for, I chose this over sam m55 as the later had poor reviews. The influencers were glib in praising this phone but it turned out to be a bad purchase

                      - photos are super HDRish highly un-natural
                      - edge detection and face blur is pathetic, at times it gave unexplainable flaws in images, at times it blurred me instead of the background or even inverted the colours
                      - video recording is so pathetic, the video is jittered and lags especially if I chose stabilization mode
                      - it strangely shoots images bad in good light, good images in low light

In march 25, an update concked off its 5g, this phone had to visit service center, had to wipe all my data to get 5g working again, and its happening with all models of phone.

Battery is just 4300 mah, and the UI is not optimized, the device needs charge 2 - 3 times a day.
                      pros:
it has a superb app pause feature, best in the segment and I love that

Nick123, 28 Mar 2025I think the Snapdragon is a bit more power hungry and would... morethe phone is fine.
there are several minor bugs that you will have to live with, and it rather shows the lack of proper support from the Motorola developers, but there's nothing crucial, no deal breakers:
                                    - the display is vibrant, but slightly shifts towards red
                                    - speakers sounds just like cheaper models - loud, without distortion, but flat, with no bass
                                    - cameras are good, yield detailed photos when there are enough light, but apply too much HDR and add purple and pink tint to faces. Also the camera app is laggy, the processing can vary from shot to shot
                                    - the almost stock android is good, but I expected it to be run smoother than it is - there are occasional stutters or lack of responsiveness no matter the app
                                    - connectivity is good, I haven't had any complaints. Besides probably the BT: my headphones tend to break the connection when I am too far from the phone, where my previous phone still worked fine
                                    - the buttons were firm at the start, but now are loose and wobbly
                                    - the launch price at €600 was definitely a joke, I feel bad for anyone paying this much for it. Right now it's "on sale" for like €300, and it's a good value for this price

P.S. My wife has Samsung A55, which I expected to be the closest competitor to edge 50 neo when the later was released, but from my observation the Samsung has more premium feel and look: all the apps work smoothly, the camera focuses and make pictures instantly (even though the afterwards processing takes as much time), the screen is colours accurate and feels more responsive, the speakers produce rich sound, much better than the Moto.
at the same time edge 50 neo has a telephoto camera and its ultra wide camera has AF, and the main camera yields slightly sharper images, but the keep in mind the pink faces. Also the size can be a deciding factor, and I don't like the Samsung launcher and apps (it's not bad, I just prefer the stock android and Google apps)

I am not praising one phone over another, but rather trying to say there're great (or even) better alternatives and the competition in this price range is tough
