Has the Neo been receiving updates every two months ? Which security patch is it currently on? And did they fix any bugs with those updates?

I bought Edge 50 Neo three days ago for 266 Euro on Mediamarkt 12+4boost Ram / 512 rom and let me say that I can compare it with Galaxy S24+ or Iphone 16 Pro.

Anonymous, 08 Jan 2025Edge 30 Neo user here, nothing's wrong with secure fol... moreWhen you "hide" apps and place them on the Secure Folder the app icons still appear on the main apps tray. That is a serious oversight by Motorola in my opinion. I have not seen any solutions to this yet.
You see i currently use a Pixel 8. I've had it for a few months now. But, I find myself longing for a better screen (more "pop" in the display, more sharper, a bit brighter, etc.), Dolby Atmos on the speakers and a slightly better battery life.
I could go for the Pixel 9 but updates I heard are incremental. I could get the Moto Edge 50 Neo but Moto has yet to address the slow shutter lag on the camera app. I could get the Nord 4 but cameras are a bit uninspiring. Or i could wait for the new Oppo Reno13 series globally which is...coming.

Edge 50 Neo for different markets has different sim configs.
For the European market: physical sim(pSIM) + eSIM
India and China: pSIM + pSIM

Everything is completely separate and it's honestly the closest implementation to Samsung's version which is my favourite.
I've seen a few of your comments around and I think we're in the same dilemma :^)
Trying to decide between the Pixel 8, S23 or this Edge 50 Neo which is almost have the price.

Now if only they release this same form factor phone with something like an 8s gen 3 or dimensity 8400 with LPDDR5x ram by increasing the price by another 100 dollar if necessary it would be perfect

The volume buttons on the Edge 50 Neo adjust media sound. On my Samsung they adjusted the volume of the ring tone, which I prefer. I can't seem to get the Motorola to do this. Anyone know how to solve this?

The camera app seriously needs some colors ? Cuz it's clicking abit on the greyish colored side and not upto my expectation, else the performance of this phone is just as amazing in this price range 🤩👍

I have been keeping an eye on this Moto Edge 50 Neo for quite a while now. I have held off buying it pending reviews online.
Five our of five reviews online I have read and seen all stated that there is a serious camera shutter lag on the phone. Has there been any update to fix this issue?
Secondly - Moto Secure. Hiding apps using this method is next to useless. Because you can still find the apps on the apps tray. So, I ask...how can I hide apps on the phone hiding them completely and invoking (i.e. finding them) thru some method or way?

Hi
Just bought this phone for my dad. I have a few things that annoy me, maybe you guys can help.
First is the camera app. I tried the phone in the aftornoon with a lamp lighting up the room, so it wasn't dark.
When I switched to selfie mode the phone's screen lit up so much it hurt the eyes and you end up looking like a pale snowman on photos. I can switch to portrait mode to make in normal, but next time I switch on the selfie mode it starts on the the very bright screen setting again. I have tried everything to make it normal, but nothing works.
The second annoying problem I have is the notification bar. When I drag it down the text on the symbols start moving from left to right, instead of just being shown static like on Samsung's phones.
Anyone nows how to fix this?
I guess he also needs a screen protector since it only has Gorilla Glass 3?

I bought this phone assured that it has a dual nano sim configuration as GSM arena claims. The seller on the store also assured me of the same thing. Imagine my surprise when I opened it next day only to find 1 nano slim slot and a barred slot on the back side of the sim tray. No additional information about this topic after googling. Can it be I got some wrong version or something? I am thinking of returning it back.

Edge 50 Neo has OIS on main (wide) and telephoto cameras as per official Motorola site.
No dual band for GNSS. You need at least premium Dimensity 8000 series SoC for it.
