Hi guys,
Is there "ready for" ???? I'm checking and seems that it has been removed for this model and is only PC USB cable compatible?
I would like to use Moto desktop mode with a monitor..

Anonymous, 23 Nov 2024Pray for an update or switch to other brands. 😋Speaking of updates. Today i bought the edge 50 neo at a very good price in Germany.( 287 euro) Could not resist. It got updated to security update from November 1....on android 14. Great phone. It has only room for 1 fysical sim card. As far as i knownit still uses my Ux as interface...that could change when android 15 comes. That is expected mid december or else early January! This phone could be the best midranger of all 2024!!

I noticed that if you set the refresh rate to 60hz it is not fixed, and is adaptive 60hz.

Bummed that it doesn't have a sd card slot, but since I'm a birdwatcher the telephoto camera, optical zoom and that HDR10+ screen makes this phone super attractive to me. 1400 nits sure helps outdoors. My moto G55 takes really bad photos of birds at distance so I will put this phone on my wishlist for next year, it's not crazy expensive either. Only concern it's that the battery seems a bit small for a phone nowdays, with fast charge I feel I will have to replace the battery after a couple years.

Good little workhorse phone, and a touch faster than my last one (moto g84). No sd-card is annoying, but boy it charges quickly. Not bad for 3B-7B local AI, not bad at stable diffusion, not bad at rendering animations or videos. Not great, but good for the price ($348 Aussie currently, $227USD, so cheap as). 3x optical zoom on camera is nice, does ok at gaming and emulation, screen and sound is ok. Just a nice cheap all-rounder with plenty of RAM and software support. Handy as a work/study phone, that you don't fill with junk.

Excellent phone, with a few key annoyances. I also own an Edge 30 Fusion, picked up the Neo for AUD$349 (US200), half price. Display excellent, much crsiper whites than the greenish Fusion 30. Brighter, camera is better (significantly), feels easy to hold with no case. Haptics are 1000% better than the Fusion, which are so poor I turned them off.
Major drawbacks, BT volume nowhere near as loud, can max it out and its not loud enough. The 120 hz is pretty terrible, constantly jerky, be it web pages, scrolling menus within the phone, keyboard popping up. Going to be very hard to be ok with that.

DUAL NANO SIM, 22 Nov 2024Will it take 2 nano sim cards?NO! just 1 fysical simcard (nano) and several eSims. I do not know how many eSims are supported but i think at least 2. if you must have 2 fysical simcard trays better choose other phone.

I'm interested but have many questions.
The Xperia 10 vi comes to mind and has some advantages over the Moto in particular it's compact size (easier to grip), far better glass protection (Gorilla Glass Victus), somewhat better chipset (Snapdragon 6 Gen 1), faster UFS storage (3.1), support for aptX HD & Adaptive and a higher battery capacity overall.
Another thing to add is Motorola seems to silently insert apps (albeit a lack of an actual app store) asking you to install unlike Sony's.
The reviews here states inconsistencies with the Edge 50 Neo's cameras (focusing, noise level, HDR, etc.), the camera app itself is laggy and the typical Motorola photo processing is frustratingly slow. Photo quality is another discussion as well.
If we focus on the issues I have raised does the Sony sound a more compelling choice?
