Motorola has been bought by Lenovo in 2014, mostly to get its name and big patent portfolio. So it is now a chinese company !
This brand has not been available for many years in France, and maybe also in Europe, since its purchase by Lenovo.
But it seems that they have recently changed their strategy as they can now be found in most countries. And considering that their phones seem high quality but still cheap, they are going to be successfull. A bit like the other chinese companies offering good phones for cheap price, but unfortunately drastically raising their prices after having obtained brand recognition.

To put things in perspective it's like Cisco or so that got the edge but on a total different level in a similar game. The person refering to Motorola as a lesser known maker must be young or out of the loop when it comes to mobile comms.

I have tried that phone in a shop, and was surprised by this lesser known brand because it seems really good. Super nice screen and cameras. Only 500 euros here in France for 12/512 GB, and is much better (screen, cameras, speaker, design...) than same price A55 8/256 GB. But don't know about software updates...

EDGE 40 better, 18 Jul 2024The CPU in edge 40 performs better and costs a lot less.True, but edge 50 pro is still great phone, im using it for 3 months and i dont regret it.

I have tested Edge 50 Pro along with Cambridge Audio Melomania P100 and Edge 50 Pro DOES NOT support aptx lossless.

Satisfied after 2 weeks of purchase. If you have idea of how battery works, you can get more than 2 days of battery life from it with regular use. Keep at 60hz, keep battery saver on standard mode. I was only worried about battery and now im not. It is very optimised phone. Check yourself.12gb256. keep Ram boost off too, 12 is too much.
