Motorola Fire and Fire XT launched in India
We haven's seen much new stuff from Moto on European soil, but the company has just launched the Fire and Fire XT on the Indian market. Both are Android 2.3 Gingerbread running smartphones with mid-range specs and attractive price tags.
Motorola Fire
The Fire is the cheaper handset utilizing a 2.8-inch QVGA touchscreen and the Qualcomm MSM7227 chipset with a 600MHz core, Adreno 200 graphics and 256MB RAM. There is also a 3 megapixel snapper, Wireless N and HSPDA support, GPS, FM radio and last but not least important - a full four-row portrait QWERTY keyboard.
Motorola Fire costs Rs 9900 (€155) and is available starting today.
Motorola Fire XT
The Fire XT drops the QWERTY for a bigger 3.5-inch HVGA touchscreen and is based on a similar but faster core - Qualcomm MSM7227 chipset with an 800MHz core, Adreno 200 graphics and 512MB RAM. The rest is pretty much the same as the Fire but the camera - it's now a 5 megapixel auto-focus one.
The Fire XT costs Rs 13990 (€215) and is also available as of today in India.
