I come from blackberry user family and got this phone in exchange of my old blackberry yesterday. This is my first android phone and i do not regret trading off my old blackberry phone for this one.
I am listing all pros and cons which i noticed after using this phone for more than 24 hours:
PROS:
-----
1. Solid design and decent body. Light in weight and easy to hold
2. Good call quality while making phone calls (on Vodafone). Excellent signal quality like my old blackberry. Fire XT lived up to my expecatations in terms of Call and Signal quality. I believe Motorola, Nokia and Blackberry are the best phones in terms of call, signal and sound qualities.
3. Decent speakerphone quality. I would recommend using decent earphones instead of the standard earphones which comes in the motorola box. Hearing music is a pleasant experience with decent earphones.
4. Decent performance for a phone with this price range.
5. Fast internet browsing experience. Large 3.5" screen. Plus this comes with Android 2.3 Ginger bread. I did not face any memory issues till now. (Some of the users have reported memory issues. I think this should work fine unless you are not a big gaming freak which requires loads of memory)
CONS:

1. Like everyone pointed out on all the earlier posts, battery could be issue to only those who continously browse the internet or play games and videos otherwise for occasional surfing and checking emails etc this should last for more than 12 hours.
2. Screen quality is not par as compared with other high end phones in the market. However since i am not a big game freak etc, i found the screen quality to be decent for my personal use.
3. If you are planning to buy this phone only for camera, i would suggest buying another one or use a digicam instead. However during day light it takes decent pictures.
Bottomline is this is a very good device considering the price and list of functionalities it provide. I would recommend this phone to people who are looking for good call and signal quality along with using other features such as browsing, social networking etc. This phone is not appropriate for people who are interested in gaming, watching extensive videos etc.

I have been using it for a couple of weeks. Don't know for what reason, it doesn't detect my shared network through WiFi. It says that the signal is not out of reach. Though when I am just beside the router. My laptop is always connected to the network with no problem at all. Of course the network sharing password is keyed in!
Peculiar is that it always detects other networks in the reach. Please help.

My review on this phone after using it for more than 15 days
Looks: Amazing
Screen clarity: Good
Voice Quality: Good
Music: Good
Lagging: No
Battery: Avg (Lasts for 1 & half days max)
Camera: Avg (Flash supported)
Touch: Better than average but not gr8
Overall: Fair deal, I recommend.

Using this phone for one month now. Great touch screen. It does not hang even single time. No lag in OS. Faster than samsung and nokia phones. For this price (12500/-) u can get HTC wildfire s but that has only 600 mhz processor, very slow. Moto fire xt has 800 mhz u can feel the difference easily. 2g speed is nice if used with Opera mini. I also used 3G. Its just magic. 3G runs even faster than wifi. it takes only 8 seconds to download 6mb of file over 3G. just loved it.Downside is its headphones. so cheap, but u can use u r own headphones. and one more MUSIC PLAYER is great. Music player is equipped with TUNEWIKI. It automatically download lyrics and album art of the song playing and u can see lyrics moving while song is playing. Nice feature.. i like it...

Excellent fone...
Good display, good touch, user-friendly, good speed, good cameras, good battery back-up...
I am using it since few days and yet to find a 'cons' it...
Great job Motorola...All your phones come with a BANG..be it Razr, SLVR, ROKR etc...
