four months I've had my Gleam, then the screen stopped working. just a faded square in one corner. Sometimes it would right itself if I turn it off and on but even this has stopped working now. I,m going back to a Nokia.

D... moreyes the battery is not great, but remember it doesnt have to power a super hd quality screen, go on the internet, play and download loads of apps. its used to make calls, texts and take the odd picture, so battery will last a good few days maybe a week

I type the name and while it's still highlighted I press # and it just unhighlights it. 0 button doesn't work. Any other ideas? I can't work out how to add new words to the dictionary either. ;-(

Do not buy this phone if you:
*Like to have your own SMS tune
*Like to keep the back of your phone on it.
*Like an orderly phonebook - with photos tagged on contacts (you can add photo but it does not show up on scrolling through phone book - the old Pebl & U9 do tho)
*Want to take photos of anything apart from a statue as there is a click delay on it.
Plus points: has large numbers for partially sighted/big thumbs & fingers. Also is flip phone, but these are the only 2 plus pionts so am going to go back to old pebl phone...

This phone is great, it is a simple easy to use phone with great battery life. It has a bright screen and the text is very easy to read. The buttons are large, great for people that struggle to tap small buttons. Works great and has never skipped a beat.

Barber007, 27 Dec 2011Can anyone tell me how to get a capital letter at the start... moreYes - I had the same problem with inserting a quick capital on the Motorola Gleam+, as the "0" button doesn't do it. Breakthrough - type the word in lower case and then, with it still highlighted, press the hash key. It will capitalise the first letter or all of it, depending upon how many times you press it, but only for that word. When you move on, it will then revert to the original text mode (predictive etc) that you were in. Hoorah!

The back cover is crap. There are lot of gaps and the back would not snap shut snugly.
