Good to use a phone before writting about it. There are a lot of reasons to explain the huge success of motorola with v3,k1,v3i around the world. I've had v3 and K1 and am very happy with them. I wil never go to Nokia.

They make cell phone covers for a reason people. Also the Motorola Razor is a garbage phone, I have heard this from every single person I have come across. I have also heard that the K1 is WAY better than any Razor.

thnx mark, done all that too! and contacted motorola! ah well, apart from this fault, or is it feature, this phone is really classy. glossy outer that yes, does get finger marks, sharp photos, good keypad, audio excellent. just no point in having such a gorgeous display if you cant see it for more than 5 secs. easy to set up & feels good in the hand. stunning design overall.

Hi Jan. other option is to go to the main menu,initial setup and check display timeout. If it doesn't work, it is a good idea to contact Motorola customer support, for sure they will assist you. Regards

ok ive gone thru steves advice again even tho id already tried this option(turned delay off, no screensave)but the external display still goes off completely after approx 5 secs with not even the clock showing. Really disappointed as the screen is so attractive i want it visible. And i need to see the time & phone status, of course! Any more help plz....?

I have had this phone for about 2 months and I am very content with it..camera,sound and everything is excellent..I just have a complaint on the headphones..they are not bad but the right one sometimes stops.

Hi Jan, perhaps your problem is with the screen saver option. You can go to the main menu, personalize and screen saver, then you turn delay off. If you have it on and no screen saver , your dispaly will go off for some time. With the option set to off, the light will go off in about 7 seconds, but you will be able to see the clock. Regards.

my external display doesnt stay on, goes off after approx 5 secs after closing. help any one? is there a setting i have missed???

my partner as this phone and i think that it is stylish and is well designed.but we have had hers returned twice as it stooped showing missed calls and also every so often memory would get wiped.as anyone else had this problem????

Very nice phone. The only thing that i can complain is the low resolution of the main screen. The strongest item is the video camera.

love this phones,its gorgeous...
anyway,about the cracks thingy,
the glass isnt prone to cracks because its
scratch proof,but not fingerprint proof..
but i still love it!!:)

White Shark you are rigth, the sound is excelent as well as the signal. I always have strong signal even in areas where it is difficult to get a call, the best signal among all the phones a have owned.

you all forget about the Crystal Talk technology in this phone. it's very good and useful. this is my favourite phone forever after motorola v50.

My son gave me this phone 5 months ago when I was vacationing in the UK and I don't see any problem that bother me so much except the glass which prone to dirt everytime you touch it. The only problem I had encountered is when I start using in Saudi Arabia,there are times signal is becoming weak and fading. I have survived this problem until I recently upgraded to the new software. A fantastic and lovely phone.. I would proudly recommend to all...Robert/Dhahran Saudi Arabia

This is a very good phone, don't worry if you a re a decent user, what we have here is someone with a bad experience who is filling the space with comments using a kind of a rash language. My experience is good, the phone is also very good and was made by a top company around the world. Use it with confidence that it will last very long and work as supposed to do.

I bought this phone just yesterday, because my SonyEricsson T610 stopped charging. I was hoping it would work for a few more months, as i am going to buy the iPhone (i live in Europe).
I have had no problems with it since, although admittedly texting is a bit slow for me.
Anyway, when i bought it, the woman in the shop told me that i should charge it for 8 - 10 hours before i first switched it on, for longer battery life.
However, the manual just said that i should fully charge it and let it recharge all the way for a few times for longer battery life, but said nothing about charging it for 8 - 10 hours before first switching it on.
It also said that the phone has a microchip which doesn't let the battery overcharge, so logically, the extra time on the charger wouldn't make any difference to the phone.
I decided to go with the manual. Can anybody tell me if i should leave it on for 8 - 10 hours for longer battery life (as the woman had told me to do)?

I have bought this phone online but has not arrived. I m little bit scared now abt it as people r writing that it the outer clam shell cracks. What part gets cracked?The display or the blue part?Can it be fixed?Please can anyone who has sufferred this problem tell me. Thanks. COuld anyone also tell me other problems that could arrive with this fone?
