Lance,
I returned my Nokia 8800 Sirocco (sp?) Edition phone for the KRZR K1. Boy if you think the KRZR's overpriced, you should try the 8800! I paid over $1,000 for it on eBay.com.
I came to tell you though that you can find the KRZR for $380 depending on where you look. That's what I got it for. I don't think it's too expensive at all.

Had this for nearly a week. Can't really compare it to any of the smartphones N series, but then you wouldn't expect the shininess or the style of K1 from them.
It's a good looking phone, I haven't grown to love it yet (though I did for K750i) and I'm falling out of love with 8800 (though I still think it's great). Thinking of getting a N-series phone for more business-features.
Overall, K1 is recommended for those who don't want eccentric features and wants to look good.

Gangsta Moto - it was you who have behaved so poorly on this posting area - including the Moto Maxx section - and that people like me, who come here with an interest in phones in general have felt the need to defend ourselves.Remember your outburst re. the USA recently ?
I am glad to see you have recovered from your faux hip hop language you are so fond of. There is so much bashing on this Moto forum area of phones other than Motorola .
I do not need ot fight with you Gangsta Moto - you can love your Motorola - however- fanboy fanaticism is not acceptable anywhere .
Contrary to what you believe- I have no favouritism to ANY phone maker but I will not be intimidated by the likes of you.
Glad you got the message.
And- as you have put on so so many of your posts - Peace.

The KRZR is a great phone, really stylish. It has a long battery life, plays mp3s, and has excellent reception. The only gripes I have are that it should have much more internal memory and the camera quality should have been improved since the RAZR... http://www.best-mobile-phones.org/review/9-motorola-k1-krzr

i would call it standard features.. i would say mediocre... the camera takes super blurry pictures, the screen its outdated, and so are a year late in features, people this phone can't even oompete to the nokia 6280 - 6270. and of course kzr its 200 euros more expensive.

nice phone..when you flip it open you can act like a kid and pretend like you are using a dagger..hahaha, because it is slim and skinny which makes it apear long. anyway it's a nice phone especially if you look at it in real life..the specs are not bad either.

Damn nice phone. Was a user of the v3 about a yr ago then switched to Sony ericsson.
Gambled getting this phone as I didn't really like the user interface of the v3 and it was slow. This phone has loads more and is way faster. Battery life lasts me ages (3days) and I'm a heavy user. The mp3 player is really nice... has more or less the same features as a Walkman phone.
Nice job all round... looks sweet as-well.

Dimension for 8800 ;
107 x 45 x 17.5mm
Dimension for KRZR ;
103 x 42 x 16mm
Too long, too short, too thin?
From what i see, both of it having almost the same dimension with 8800 appear longer.
Poster below me, plz get the fact right be4 posting crap.

"Ricahrd- no point having great build quality and nothing much inside !"
lmao at the nokia fanboys now changing their argument. when that piece of crap, overpriced Nokia 8800 first came out with nothing inside it, it was "you're paying for the great build quality!" now with KRZR build quality must be matched with the most extravagant of features.
such hypocrites.

To all those wanting the Krzr but waiting for black or silver versions: check out the phone in person and then make up your mind. The blue colour is really nice in real life, the pictures (even the Motorola official promotional ones) dont do it justice. I also wanted to wait for a black one but after seeing the cosmic blue i fell in love with it!

FYI - read the www.mobile-review.com review on this phone. The build quality is good but what about the rest of it. Nothing new in it- the V3i is better than this. The 2 M P module is below par.
If only Motorola made such a big effort on its UI ,etc as they do to source for new materials to build phones out of , they would be very good - but they don't , so they are not.

This phone have the standard features, so I dont really understand what did you guys mean by 'nothing much inside'? There are tons of phone that have the same features, so what we are looking for is a phone that have a good quality, and KRZR K1 just made it!!
