i agree. moto design is unique, they use nice materials that don't look like a cheap plastic. but one thing i noticed is that every time they add features to their razr line, it becomes thick. oh well, am a bit disappointed.. i say what really matters is what's inside the phone. .

Moto ain´t stupid, neither Nokia or S.E, they are great, i actually love moto, and they have all sizes and flavors so come on don´t say they are on bankrupt because that´s a mean lie, or should I say don´t be an ignorant, if not go and learn about motorola history and you´ll find something good, motorola is motorola. So don´t even dare to say the same design because if you are from a different brand (except Nokia or SE) every one is copying the design from the original models from moto moto, so sorry for you and my respect if you are a S.E or Nokia fan, even when I hate their horrible designs

This is a very good phone. In typical Motorola style the design, features, materials, user interface and performance are very good. I would like to buy one in this particular line. BUT will only be buying one to replace my current phone if they add Wi-Fi, third-party software capability (Skype etc.), perhaps LED LCD screens to help improve battery performance further. Additionally, would be nice to have a button on hinge, or somewhere easier/more convenient, to flip phone open. Won't cry, but would like to see more colours, GPS (combined Bluetooth/GPS chip, anyone?) and MP3 player function buttons on cover and maybe auto focus for camera. But perhaps will forever remain a dream. To critics of Motorola design, I must ask – would you rather have something that if you must have it with you doesn’t interfere with your attempts to do anything whatsoever, however important OR trivial that you do day-to-day, or something that more or less resembles a brick? Personally, I think that if you want PDA/Pocket Computer functions, then get one of those. I understand people may not want to have two separate devices if the tech exists to combine the two, but why have a speaker and microphone on the unit itself if you can’t hold it to your ear and input data @ the same time? Personally think that the effort of holding a phone to your ear for any lengthy period of time is painful enough, without the units being so wide you have to stretch your fingers to do it. Plus the units are damn ugly to boot!

looks quite similar to the UI on v6 maxx.
This video seems to show v6 maxx ui more clearly.

should be able to help those ppl make up their minds if they like the UI.
but the speed on the menu operation of the v6 maxx really rocks!!!...got to change my nokia 6680 man!!!

Like I always say if it is design and class, motorola is the king, the materials they use are unique they never look chepa, sorry but that's reality and the phones look nice not just like a concrete block like other brands, you know what I'm talking about besides these phones are equiped with enough techonology, if you want more get a computer, get a life, please, of course I recognize that maybe motorola shoul be improving a little bit their software because is important.

Hi john. Tat leaves sony ericsson? Come on! Their phones are way too plasticky & some have fragile direction buttons! Moto phones are metal. See video below.

I think it will be the interface that does it for me. I'm getting a contract soon. I hate the way there is too much choice but everything is rubbish. I wouldn't mind a Samsung but I think their interface is lacking and their phones aren't fashionable enough. Morotolas look great but function poorly + the cameras don't have auto focus which is annoying. Nokia I will never touch. LG has good fashionable phones and a nice interface but generally poor usability.

hi john, I think it will be a different user interface from the L7. this will probably be motorola's new linux/java platform.

Will the K3 have the same interface as the K1? Will they have updated it at all? I really don't like the 'I look like I've been made in MS Paint' interface on my current L7.
