hey guys, is rapidshare.de/blahblahblah effective? coz i havent installed it yet... and another problem, i have many pics from my dad's phone [N70], and if i transfer my pic, it wont appear, but the file size is only 88kbs ... can sum1 help me?

      My motorola l6 was working fine;until one day out of the blue the damn keys stopped working!!I couldn't get the damn thing to unlock!!Well clever me I decided to switch the phone off and switch it on again,but guess what...it prompts me to insert my SIM card code,but the keys still aren't working AGGGGRHHH!!What is up with colour phones and sotware glitches.

        can i ask something to you guys? i just want to know how to solve my prblem about my phone coz my downloaded songs that found in sounds menu, i can't hear the songs but i can see that it playing, but playing but nothing to hear..my question is is there somebody can help me regarding this matter..(p.s all my ring style or whatever volume is that i already set to Volume 7).Its about 1 week from now, when i observed that my downloaded songs will not hear anything anymore, but first from the day i bought this phone 'til last week the songs i download is playing well, i heard also its sounds but now nothing..please help me..thanks..just email me if you know how..(rosemarie_sandiego1983@yahoo.com)..thanks again in advance

            Aye Aye guys. Dis is a gud fone. If u thnk u need to store more mp3s in ur fone, just install da software named MP3 TO RINGTONE. A normal 3-5 mins song at 192kbps takes bout 7mb of space. In dis software u can decrease it to 24 or 16kbps & da songs come down to only 700kb
            of space. Isnt it gr8 ??!! I've used dis software & I stored bout 15 songs. Dont worry bout da sound quality. In dis fone an 8kbps song sounds like those of 320kbps.

                Want to install applications and games to you L6:

                Just download MIDway_v2.8
                very useful for installing new applications
                just search in the net.. i forgot the link its only 350kb or less

                and heres the steps how to upload:
                its kinda complicated but is works great

                This document explains step by step procedure to download MIDlets using MIDway 2.8.

                This tool has been tested for Windows 98/2000/NT Operating Systems.


                For USB, how to know on which COM Port the phone has been detected:

                1). Power up the Phone.
                2). Connect regular USB Cable to phone.
                3). Right Click on My Computer.
                4). Click on Properties.
                5). Select 'Hardware' Tab.
                6). Click on Device Manager.
                7). Your phone should be detected as Modem. Expand Modems under Device Manager.
                (There has been some cases when the phone is detected as Modem but when you expand
                Modems under Device Manager it is detected as Broken link. In this case Reboot the
                computer and follow steps 1-7 again)
                8). Right Click on "Motorola USB Modem". Select Properties.
                9). Select 'Advanced' Tab.
                10). Click 'Advanced Port Settings".
                11). Note down the COM port number.


                Steps to Download MIDlet.
                1). Power up the Phone.
                2). Click Menu->Settings->Java Settings->Java App Loader.
                3). It shows a Dialog on the screen "Insert Cable Now"
                4). Insert USB Cable.
                5). The phone should display "Jal Link is active."
                6). Run MIDway 2.8.
                7). Select menu item File->Settings... and change COM Port as it was in step 11.
                8). From File Menu on MIDway select "Open JAD..." OR Click on "Open JAD" toolbar icon (1st icon)
                9). Select appropriate JAD file from your computer. (Hint: use recent file list in the File menu)
                10). Click on "Send JAD" icon (2nd icon). Some information from JAD File will be displayed
                on the Phone Screen. If Right Soft Key reads "More" select it. It should then display
                "DOWNLD". Select "DOWNLD". This will start downloading the JAR file from computer
                to phone. Upon download successful, it starts installing the application.
                When installed successfully, the phone displays "Run ?" with YES & NO as soft keys.
                If you are planning to download more games, select "NO" otherwise follow steps 8-10 again.

                All downloaded applications are listed under "Games & Apps"

                Common issues:

                1). Sometimes upon inserting USB cable from Java App Loader won't display "JAL Link is Active".
                This issue can be either due to
                a). your phone is not detected properly ( Broken Modem) OR
                b). your phone might be detected as Motorola Composite Device.
                For a). Reboot the computer and for b). Power cycle the Phone.

                2). During "Installing..." if it shows "Application Error" OR ""Failed Invalid File" make sure the
                size of jar file mentioned in the jad file matches with the actual size of jar file.

                3). Make sure you keep both JAD and JAR files under the same directory or provide absolute path to
                the JAR file in the JAD, using "file://" URL.

                4). The MIDway shows "Timer Expired". This happens when the communication link between the phone &
                MIDway is broken. Follow steps 2-10.

                5). Ensure the battery is charged (not necessary to be fully charged though).

                6). MIDway always keeps the connection open, so do not unplug the cable until you close the
                application.

                  10mb is enough for 7 songs.. just use adobe audition to convert your 3mb-4mb MP3 to 1mb :)... you can down load this software for free...

                  and for the transferring of files from Phone to computer or computer to you phone:

                  1.)you need mini USB wire.

                  2.)install the cd of Moto L6 (Motorola Phones tools) or if no cd in the package, u can use the software of L7. they have the same features or if you don't have both just simply go to the store where you buy the phone and ask for a software or CD, I'm sure they will provide you this.

                  3.)after you install,plug in the phone and usb to you computer and run the Motorola Phone tool.. thats it.. :) but you have to plug the usb before clicking the motorola phone tools

                  very cool phone and very cheap

                    very nice phone.. i already uploaded 28 games cool... if u like to upload more songs just Edit the mp3 to adobe audition to save space and now u can store 5 or 6 songs each has 3-4mins

                    how come L6 has better picture resolution compared to L7?

                    L6 has a max of 90-105KB file size of each pictures.

                    while the L7 has only 75-80KB

                          this is a good size but i droped it an now it beeps wen there is a signal & no signal so if its in a poor reception area an its on silant it beeps

                            it nice, my 3rd phone. But cant install applications! is there a software which can facilitate this coz i need to load games,dictionary and a bible.

                              this fone is really good ive had no problems with it n its cheap and it has all the feature i brought it for only £30 of ebay brand new. The picture quility is mint outside i swear mines got a 1 megapixel camera instead of vga OVERALL its a great fone

                                  with a java app called Dictaphone you can record many minutes.. I set it to 12 minutes but perhaps it even goes further.

                                      HELL YOU CANT!
                                      this phone has 10 MB of memory, if you want more buy an L7, it's not that difficult!
