Some answers to questions posted here:
1) L6 is not the same as SLVR. SLVR is L7. It has a larger display (176x220 TFT), removable memory card, slightly different features. 2) Interesting that somebody would note "it sucks" because there is no MMC card. That should have been obvious when you bought it. If you want a memory card, get a SLVR L7. 3) You can in fact search the phone book by more than just the first letter. Go into the phonebook, hit the center menu key, and pick "Setup". In that menu you can change the search method. 4) you can create playlists in the sounds menu, and use it as am MP3 player. However, the phone was not designed for this, and the 10MB of memory will not allow storage of very much music.

If you buy a phone off e-bay or anywhere and its an UNLOCKED phone, most of the time you will lose some kind of feature related to the phone. Just an FYI. The reason is that the phone is not registered to your carrier, but will work on the network due to your SIM card. Hope this helps anyone that might be having problems. Sometime you get lucky and sometimes you dont.

NOTE TO REVIEWER: not true that phonebook search is by 1st letter only: I've searched by more than 1 letter then confirmed i could do it again. Don't type too slowly. Try it: I tell the truth.

I recently bought an L6 having had a V220 for a year. Overall the design is nice, but one odd feature is that the mic hole is on the right-side of the front panel. If you have to hold the L6 between your head and shoulder (as often you do when you need to free both hands for a few seconds), your face covers the mic completely and you cannot be heard. The lack of a keypad auto-lock is a nuisance.

To answer to question about being heard through this phone...I am from the US and I WAS told when i just got the phone that it WAS difficult to hear me as if I was in a tunnel, but after having it for a month, I don't hear complaints as much, so maybe the phone is ok after awhile. I do get compliments about the phone a lot...it's comfortable once you get used to it...but I use it mostly for telephone calls and sms...
but that i hope answers the question...
