s33, 11 Aug 2010@100moto hey u sems to know a lot about milestone.... ... moreMany seem to have concern about the battery life of Milestone, and let me share my experience.

I got my Milestone back in Feb, and with the super smooth operation and internet browsing speed, browsing / downloading apps via market, plus my wife would takeover the phone for games (she knows she likes Android, just she doesn't like the "man" look of Moto phones, so she is sticking with iphone), I pretty much drained up the battery within a day. Indeed I have so much fun with almost everything else that I never bother with the MP3 player!

So soon afterwards I got an extra battery and charger, (I know in US the package costs around US$60) so I can swap the battery (unlike iphone!) towards the end of the day, and with good 3G connection, I often use my phone to browse the web even at home.

For others, I would suggest one to get an extra micro-USB cable/charger, so the phone can be charged at office or car.

The phone runs so great and smooth that the battery life shouldn't be any issue for the enjoyment you'll get.

Now I charge my Milestone once a day, because I really enjoy Moto Android phones and now I also have the Cliq / Dext and Quench / Cliq XT...and along with Milestone, they all use the same type of battery.

undecided, 10 Aug 2010ok guys i've got few questions to aks b4 i make a decision ... more1. hardware keyboard is way better than touch in my opinion... probably the only reason to buy it anyways ;)
      2. dunno the material but the screen is scratch resistant... to some point. i got a little one with a nail clipper.
      3. surfing depends on your connectivity.
BUT WAIT FOR THE DROID 2 anyways! :P

s33, 11 Aug 2010@100moto hey u sems to know a lot about milestone.... ... moreI would say just for a day. Here the video is the culprit, which drains battery.Probably the workaorund for this would be to go for lowest brightness settings,in lowest brightness also the sreen is worth watching.I tend to max brightness only during gaming.

The hard keyboard is just a good alternative to the touchscreen, which is large enough for good typing.

Screen is made of Corning Glass. What's Corning Glass? Try Wiki and find out more.

undecided, 10 Aug 2010ok guys i've got few questions to aks b4 i make a decision ... moreThe hardware keyboard is quite nice, but one would take sometime to use it for faster and acurate typing, even I brought the cellphone, only with the plus point for hw keyboard, the best part of the keyboard is the D pad,it helps the cursor move back and forth, which is otherwise way difficult.but nothing equal to using onscreen keyboard, its nice and stable.

I dont think its a scratch resistant one(am not sure). But I am using screen guard soon after purchasing it.

Browsing speed is dependent on your internet connection speed(am sure you are aware of it).I mainly use it over wifi and was able to dl 700mb in one hr with 1mbps line.I can definately say much better than my pc.Over the edge its bit slow and keeps disconnecting, maybe operator problem.I dont have any idea about the battery life only on recieving and making calls,Mine lasts for a day and a half (Roughly)for using it about say 7 to 10 calls and 3hrs (approx) using internet and abt 15min listening to music.I havent tried to use the phone without the touch screen, but using the touch screen is fast and blissfull.
This is my 2 cents experience with the phone.Hope you can decide accordingly.

ok guys i've got few questions to aks b4 i make a decision of buying milestone.1st how is it like using the hardware keyboard as compared to the onscreen keyboard? 2ndly,is the screen scratch-resistant or just a plastic? 3rdly how fast is the browsing speed and lastly n importantly how long does the battery last when only using for making n receiving calls.I like the fact that the phone can be operated without the touchscreen but I cant believe everything the reviewers says coz their stories are quiete different
