Hi Guys
Hoping you could help me with 2 things.
i had a milestone , and it was problematic i sent it in for repairs came back with the same problem,so they sent me a new one. i love this phone and had no problems besides the fact that it did not want to read any sim card. nevertheless i now have a new one and want to get it up and running again,having mu "baby" back to normal.
So i need to know 2 things: firstly how do i setup my GPRS settings, i dial x123x13# it keeps saying it will be sent to me but it never comes, is there perhaps another way as MTN is not helping much as well.
Secondly how does one bluetooth songs from thing phone it does not give me that option.
I would appreciate your help and response.

[deleted post]No heating issues after the update, working perfectly,was on call for about 15mins and the set was as cool as it was before the call

Realist, 08 Jul 2010hey guys does anyone know if the update takes care of the o... moreThe heat issue now seems to be partial,sometimes it gets heated up,sometimes it doesnt.This is the behaviour after the update and am still testing it.The truth is this update is too good to make, milestone a perfectionist :)

I'm looking to buy a droid but i want to know sth: How is the battery life compared to other smartphones? Can i set up free Yahoo Mail ( NOT Yahoo Mail Plus ) on this? What are the qualities of free apps in the Android Market? Can i customize the looks of the UI? if so, how? Can i use multitouch in web browser? what is the overall speed of the phone? thanks

Cost me 27k with a 8GB... moreThe on call echo can be ruled out by updating the phone software,I too stay in India and have brought the phone about a month back,Even I had the same problem,recently I updated the software and the voice quality is superb.Update the software buddy,the problem will be solved.The other things that you have mentioned,can be rectified,by being getting used to it...I mean,you can easily avoid mistake,touches and presses,try onscreen keyboard,it is the better of option,onscreen keyboard on landscape mode is too good.

Got the fone two days back in India. Cost me 27k with a 8GB card on board. Solid build and does most things well. Some Complaints--
# I still haven't been able to play any video other than MP4 and 3GP. Would need to find a player for android. Trust me I've looked a lot.
# The audio when on call echoes.
# The touch is very good but a little oversensitive i feel. The visual buttons on the corners get pressed when you are handling the fone
# Typing in the top row of the QWERTY isnt all that easy
Good things
# Has to be the app market. If you dont have an ipod or an Iphone, android is the best thing for you. Whole lot of apps
Thats pretty much the only outstanding thing

harminder singh, 06 Jul 2010Finally got the UPDATE today over wifi ....Wait its a norma... moreHow is this possible that some are getting 12.5mb update file,I got 32.1mb update file and you got 35mb update file?Is it probably each one of us have different kernel version?I am residing in India and I got 32.1mb update.No wonder,this bug fix update has worked very well for me,Like my major problem was with sim service failing randomly,restarting randomly and muffled or echo voice on every call and this update has fixed all these issues and one bonus is that,now I have interactive live wallpaper.The default live wallpaper(the water with leaves slowing falling across the sceen),now produces ripples as I swipe my finger across the wallpaper...Still waiting for Froyo and with the rumors around the corner for Droid as made me more curious.

The wait for Android 2.2 continues,
but the European Motorola Milestone
apparently is in the midst of another
update. MR2.5 reportedly comprises
bugfixes and performance/stability
improvements, which we certainly
wouldn't shrug our shoulders at.
Random power cycling and force
closes are said to be targeted, and
the alarm clock and music
capabilities are said to have been
addressed. Check your phone or hit
up the Motorola software update
tool.

Finally got the UPDATE today over wifi ....Wait its a normal update although the file is 35.2 mb. Changes more smootheness , icon of quick office is changed nothing new. Hope 2.2 will soon ....come to reality

Rumors about Droid getting Froyo on 13th July,hope it will be the same day for milestone also.Anyone out here got any news/rumor about milestone being upgraded with Froyo on 13th July?

When you look at the specification you will think that it is too low for ram and processor. No, you are wrong. It is as fast as Nexus one...Faster. I have Iphone 4, Nexus one, Milestone(Droid Gsm),and Htc Desire. I like Milestone the most. It's pretty fast and look at the qwerty keyboard, it is very awesome when you play games. Nexus one is way too slow for me. I don't know why the graphic processor of Nexus one and every specs of Nexus one is so high but Milestone is alot faster. Milestone have 6 mb empty space left. Desire is not as good as Nexus one or Milestone so just don't think about it. Milestone and Nexus one didn't use the same cpu, so don't look at just the cpu when you want to buy something. I'll you tell you sth here. If you use Nexus one or Milestone, DONT put alot of widgets on the interface because the interface will be slow and finally it would says "Force close" so you will waste your times for this, it's not alot of times but it will show uo every five minute if you set the widgets for nine-pages. =) thanx for asking for the interview if you wants to ask me to interview another phone tell me what do you want to know and i will do it for you. hinokizou_l@hotmail.com
