Motorola Droid gets early Android 2.2 ROM, ready to download... now

What shall we call this, Frodroid or Droyo? Either way, an Android 2.2 update has been made available for Motorola's all-conquering slider, and it awaits eager firmware upgraders at the download link below. Produced by the good folks at My Droid World, this includes almost everything you'll need to get your Froyo on in style, though it excludes WiFi support at this stage. Such is the way with unofficial upgrades, but if you really need consolation, there's a whole set of superuser privileges to explore as this bad boy comes pre-rooted. You could of course skip this whole community business and wait for Moto's official update, but that company's idea of the "near future is about as precise as the length of a piece of string

[deleted post]Motorola's price is around 29k rupees but if u try it hard u'll get it around 26k rupees.I got mine at 25500 from gaffar market delhi.
nice phone though.good luck

Though you can also go to Setting -> About PHone -> System Update and check.

Good: Excellent Touch screen, Display. Easy to use. Good Camera. Extremely Fast... Trust me, you don't wanna use the keyboard. The Touch screen is just so convenient.
Bad: Can't veiw messages and e-mails in the proper format, i.e. Inbox/Outbox/Drafts/Sent items. Cannot Forward text messages (I tried but, I could not). All apps are continuously working and consuming data i.e. Facebook, g-mail. There is no option to close an application from the tray (I tried but, I could not) and make sure that your data usage is in control/limits. Or if we can set a periodic check for one hour for notifications and e-mails which will reduce data usage on applications.

Moto to release froyo in 1 or 2 weeks. as droid or milestone the most popular android phone. moto and google put all attention on this mobile and promise the update to froyo in the near futur
