A lack of some important and basic function will deemed it "hadn't reach the milestone".

motorazr, 21 Nov 2010Years back, I love Motorola but now they are sliding down. ... moreWhat's so expensive? A "comparable" H-brand Desire Z sells for US$614 where I live.
As for video call camera, Moto was one of the first to offer such feature back in 2004 with its A925/A835, but since then most people seldom, if ever, used it.
Ever since the video call function was available on the "compact" V975, my gf (now my wife) had been using a phone with video call function....until the fruit company came out with its iphone 3G with "no" video call. Since then my wife forgot about the video call function and now the fruit company makes a big deal out of it....(I'm sure it KNEW how to make a phone with video call function in 2008, it just "didn't have to" so its iphone 4 can sell better!)

I enjoy this fight, and I want to fight too here. I want to protect the Milestone 2. You said that the Milestone 2 is better then that. I agree with that, because of the cool design, CPU speed and camera.

Years back, I love Motorola but now they are sliding down. Why is it that all your new models are very expensive, almost same as Iphone? Is it because both are American brands where in fact all of your units are nade in China. (take note as per statistics, no smartphone was made in US since 2008).
One more thing, why are you not putting a secondary camera, especially for these model. It is still an important thing to have a video call option for both personal and business purposes.

If you want a review check out a motorola droid 2 review, its the same phone minus 720p video recording. The droid 2 is the american version of the milestone 2 so its exactly the same and they will work exactly the same. I'm definitely gonna buy this phone seems like a worthwhile purchase. Check out the video reviews too. I'm also looking forward to the GSMarena review but looks like I'll have to order it online

Could anyone please write, how is the weight of the phone when holding in hand? Does it really feel heavy and pulls your pocket down when carrying it?
This would be my dream phone, coupled with an extended battery (how much more does it weight?), but I belive that with this battery, I am already at 180 grams, which is quite a lot for my opinion.. :(

Larry, 17 Nov 2010Shouldn't be investing on Motorola stocks considering how m... moreI wonder if you said the same thing about other brands' phones back in Nov. 2009....when Milestone first released and being the head of the competition.
Result? You didn't even buy one! So how would the release date of MS2 really matters to you? If u're interested, you can probably wait. If u don't like the phone to begin with, even if it releases today where u live, chances are you won't buy one anyway.
According to GSMA, the hinge on DZ is nowhere near the build quality of Milestone. So a keyboard which may detach comes free of charge.

Larry, 17 Nov 2010Shouldn't be investing on Motorola stocks considering how m... moreI agree Larry. I've been holding out as long as possible hoping to buy the Milestone 2, but I am just so tired of them pushing the date back a few days every fucking week for the last 3 months. Going to get a Desire instead.
That's another customer they've lost due to their own incompetence.
