2.2 is avaliable for droid and coming soon for milestone
Droid X now getting Froyo by 'early September'
and for sure milestone xt720 get 2.2 after these droid series
dont foget that xt720 has beter hardware than milestone so hardware is mighty to receive 2.2 or more!
anyway moto is working hard to update their android phone's to up level .
and about battery life this is very correlate to your
use
maybe for someone one phone keep charge for 3days and for other guys end charge end of 1day .

specs on sheet looks good, but in reality, it's a whole different story. moto should have do sth abt the processor speed and the battery life. it all became clear when you got a classmate with a Nexus One sitting beside you. but moto ur still on my list. hurry the f^#k up and release a GSM variant of Droid X or 2, doesn't matter which one.

Thanks for the reply.One and a half day is more than enough I think.Now there is one thing left for me to buy this phone and it is the os update(android 2.2).If they announce the update soon this phone will definetly be my next phone.

im milestone owner for 8mounth
xt720 has 256mb ram and 512mb rom
but xt720 has beter cpu speed for over 120~170mhz more clock than my mileston
my friend have milestone xt720 for 2week
his xt720 is much faster than my milestone
and the battery life is much beter too
for examploe if my phone end charge in end of day
xt720 end charge in 1.5 day .
camera is 8mp so is way way beter than mine
and volume speaker is beter and much loud
quality . material and assmble is proximate equal

at last this phone is very good and much beter than original milestone
in speed - camera - display - sound volume - battery life - web browsing - and professional design in back of phone that i verrrrrry love it .

Is the battery life really so bad? I mean if use wifi or 3g for 2 hours,gps for 15-20 minutes, talk for an hour and take a few photos and a video, can it stand for at least a day or not? The specs are great for me but I wouldn't want my phone close in the middle of the day.So, if anyone uses this phone can give some info about battery I would appreciate.

im really confused. Does the xt720 have 256 or 512mb of ram? on gsmarena it says 512, but on heaps of other sites it says 256. Can anyone who has got the phone confirm the actual ram? cos if its 256 i dont see much point in getting this over the original milestone

I bought this phone from an online seller in the UK, was recieved on monday and within like 2hrs of using the phone i had sealed it up and decided to sell it..
now ive been kinda lookin at the htc desire aswell, i managed to find it locally from someone selling it (got it for a good price and was only 2 weeks old).Bought the desire 2 days later cas i was so let down with the xt720 and really wanted something new to play with.
now i can tell you the xt720 is not even in the same league as the desire, not close.. i will kinda agree with u here.. the xt720's loud speaker is slightly better and photos..at night! and i mean slightly.. even the xenon on the xt720 doesnt seem as powerful as most other xenon phones i have owned. And considering the htc desire in most reviews the camera is considered average to good the xt720's cam still fares slighty worse.
really dissapointed as on paper the milestone xt720 sounds awesome... unfortunately is not.
anyways im done, peace.

motoroi xt720 is 256 ram and only one color,
MILESTONE XT720 is 512 ram with two colors.lolz...
why does the hd recording so awful...:(
