Anonymous, 07 Aug 2010I have analysed closely the pictures from the XT720 and X10... moreyeh, id never own another Sony Ericsson phone again either. In all honesty at the moment the quality of cams in all android phones are sub-par... but when you read "8mp with xenon" and it cant even hang with an average 5mp shooter its dissapointing.. on saying that.. i probably coulda lived with it. but the HD vid quality was the deal breaker on a phone thats marketed as first mobile to sport HDMI out.. not acceptable.
maybe i might regret selling it, n maybe they will bring out a firmware update to fix it all.. but there are to many other things at the moment that really bring the phone down.. imo.

But if you don't zoom in, they look quite similar. Also I noticed that the XT720 actually has a mechanical shutter in the lens assembly which the X10 doesn't have.

I also compared picture quality between the X10 and XT720 and they were quite similar - that's why I kept my XT720 as it wasn't as bad as I first thought since people always rave about X10 having a good camera - not!

I compared it with the Sony ericsson X10 which is nowhere as good!

- Good Quality Speakers with better than average bass
- Good sound quality with built-in equaliser
- Impressive screen - proper widescreen 16:9 (854*480)
- Noise Cancelling second microphone with CrystalTalk technology
- Motorola Portal which allows access to phone via Wifi through the PC web browser
- Xenon flash, at least photos now come out OK in bad lighting conditions
- The 550Mhz TI OMAP 3440 is actually faster than you think compared to equivalent Snapdragon Processor
- Can be overclocked up to 1.2GHz via rooting
- Due to Android memory management 256MB is acceptable
- Seem be faster than the original Milestone even if clocked at the same speed
- Battery life can last 1 day of heavy usage
- Bluetooth and wifi performance seem to be good too

8mp pics are average at best(not even as good as the htcs desires 5mp cam which is considered average), HD video is unusable as it is so jerky(one of the main selling points is the first phone with HDMI out), buggy UI, UI is somewhat laggy, photos go missing or dont save, radio does not work without headphones which it is sposed to and build quality wasnt what i was expecting either( plastic chrome face and camera unit doesnt sit in the phone properly).
maybe i was expecting too much, not sure as ive never owened a moto phone before and after this will never own one again.. really felt like i was holding an unfinished, rushed phone.
btw... its on e bay AU if anyones keen..(umm, yeah i know.. worst salesman ever).

i bet u xt720 with androir 2.2 is more faster than nexus
nexus speed is for 2.2 and not for much beter cpu
-- xt720 is not last moto phone like droid 2
xt720 released in 6mounth later
and last nokia phone n8 today is 680mhz and not avaliable yet !
so moto is beter in this subject than other rival
anyway i just like you wish to moto release droid x and droid 2 for world wide .
