No portable hotspot. That sucks. Renamed to WiFi direct. Able to connect but no Internet.
Many bugs. 1.2ghz is weak/slow. Would be better if it was 2.1 or higher. Maybe that's why it's called a affordable mobile.
Speaker is not that clear. My mp3s are 256kbs vbr. Audio fr headphone jack is good. When turned up, you could hear imperfections from speaker.
I had a HTC first. Speaker was good. No bugs besides app bugs. 2.1ghz was decent for speed. The only thing bad was its only Android 4.1.2.
My conclusion. If I was able to afford a better mobile; I would.

Are we ever going to get the latest update for Android? First it was lollipop 5.0, never happened, then it was supposed to be 5.1 The way things are going we'll be missing another ten updates, and forever using KitKat

I recently purchased a moto E(1st gen) but whenever I turn on my display and used my mobile my battery drops 1% in every 5 minutes.
After 1 hours of 2g internet usage my battery drops 12%.
Is It Normal Moto E user please help me.

worst phone ever..there is hanging problem, heating problem, worst camera, low resolution screen, crapy battery..and last but not the least the fake promises by motorola. it was said to be updated to lollipop 5.1 ..but still waiting for it for about 4 months now...

Problem and solution with the phone: Problem: Person at other end can't listen yoru voice properly Solution: This is due to noise cancellation microphone near primary camera (back cover). Paste a cello tape over it problem solved. Problem: Phone hangs and battery drain Solution: Go to settings then apps and disable unnecessary apps Cloud print, drive, Newsstand, HP print plugin etc which you dont use. Always restart your phone in every 2-3 days. Slow charging:Charger provided with the phone is of 500 mA which is low. You can use any other charger with more ampere rating but same volts. However, its always better to charge your mobile with low one as it keeps battery efficiency of charging and discharging high.

I recently purchased a moto e(1st gen) mobile.But whenever I on my display my battery drop.When I see the battery stats my all apps consuming 35% of battery but my screen and backlight consume 64% of my battery even my brightness set to 0.Is it normal.Moto e users please help me.
